The next day you went back to the mansion and immediately got to work on the next grove. As you had told Lucius yesterday, this space would be the area for the Austrian style gardens. Those types of gardens were similar to that of French gardens, but the roses in which came from that part of Europe always grew on huge rose bushes and so you knew you those would fill up the space nicely.

Towards the end of the day, you had already had some beautiful green hedges forming around the space. In front of the hedges you were planning on putting some of those large rose bushes you had been envisioning. There was also an old fountain that needed a bit of work that sat in the back of the grove, and you couldn't wait to be able to fix that so that it would run beautifully again.

Towards the end of the day as the sun was beginning to set, you heard footsteps coming towards you. Your heart beat a bit fast, knowing it was Lucius, and so you turned around to be able to see him approaching this time. He wore a very nice black suede suit, that fit his body like a glove and a deep green ascot style tie was around his neck, making the paleness of his perfect face stand out even more. His black wizards cloak was draped over his shoulders, and he looked truly like a king. You swallowed hard, as you tried not to show how much you were admiring his outward beauty.

You saw Lucius' grey eyes surveying the garden in which you had already began to quickly transform.

"It is already such an improvement," he said, with a genuine tone of appreciation, causing your heart to lighten considerably.

"I'm glad you approve," you responded, "I start work on the fountain restoration tomorrow."

As he did the day before, he began walking around the space, and so you began following him. The two of you walking peacefully together as if nothing had ever happened between you two. The silence not awkward at all, but more thick with anticipation of what would be said next.

"I always knew you to be a great herbologist, I didn't know you were also a restoration artist," he said, nothing demeaning in his voice, just more of a curious tone.

"Well, I've grown and learned a lot since our time at Hogwarts," you said, your skin prickling a bit at talking about your past with him. You never thought this moment would ever come.

Lucius was silent for a moment and then simply said, "I can see that."

You didn't know how else to respond and so you just continued walking with him, until he all of a sudden said "good evening," and made his way back inside.

You watched him walk away, feeling more confused as ever.

At the end of the two days you had managed to get the gorgeous fountain to work. The beautiful white marble sculptures, of what appeared to be mermaids, shined in the sun and all that was needed now was running water.
