Chapter- 35 Success-ish

Lore cracked her neck, her knees, and braided her hair back into a tight bun on her neck as she stood atop the watertower at the asscrack of dawn. 

"Okay. I'm ready!"

"I think I liked you better when you were groggy," Hawks teased as he sipped his cappacino. 

"Don't care!"

"You this mean to your boyfriend?"

"In all honesty, I'm probably meaner. I just don't want you to drop me when you fly me down."

He gasped in faux horror. "I would neva!"

She snorted, "You totally would. Now, please take me down."

Once his cappuccino was safely set down on one of his floating feathers, he picked her up in his arms and soared down to the infirmary's rooftop. "Alright, this is the last one here that's affected by Shigaraki's quirk."

"That's fine. I can spend tomorrow healing all normal wounds and dump a lot of energy into possibly regrowing his foot."

"Don't. He wasn't that important."

"HAWKS!"

He shrugged innocently. "What?! It's true. Save your strength birdie. There will be more victims at the next camp whose lives depend on your quirk. Not just their toes. Wait here, I'll go get the next one."

"Mkay," she sighed.

He was back in a second with a woman whose fingers on her left hand were missing.

 Oxymoronic he'd decay someone's fingers, but whatevs. 

She, unlike the last patient, was wide awake and seemed nervous. Lore got on her knees beside her and took ahold of her good hand. "Good morning ma'am. My name is Lore. I'm a healer hero. I'm going to tend to your wounds if that's quite alright?"

The woman's nervousness seemed to lessen, and a ghost of a smile touched her lips as nodded. "Th-thank you Lore."

"No worries sweetheart. Now just get comfy. Okay?"

Much as the same as yesterday. Activate sun. Find quirk. Absorb with moon. Now the tricky part. Switch it. She closed her eyes and focused on spreading the quirk all over her body instead of localizing on one part of her body. Perhaps spreading it made it easier. The feeling of death kissed her entire flesh, and she convulsed. Nasty leach sushi.

Suddenly she felt the ground beneath her knees give way, "HAWKS! GRAB HER!"

 Dabi laughed his ass off as the stupid hero decayed the entire building. Dabi, Toga, with her new set of binoculars she stole off some forest ranger before killing him, and Compress all watched as the heroes quickly evacuated the patients from the decaying building. There was screaming and shouting coming from all directions, but Dabi watched the girl in the middle of the chaos. 

"Ohhh peeep show!" Toga cheered as the girl's entire costume decayed off her body. 

Her back was to them, so all he saw was the cute curve of her ass cheeks and her mouthwatering back dimples. 

"Looks like she stopped the spread just above her feet," Compress noted as she wasn't decaying the floor she stood on. 

The heroes were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but suddenly all movement ceased. A massive moon spread across the ground until a beam of bright red light shot down from the heavens. Dabi squinted against the brightness. 

"FUCKING BRING ME A PATIENT!"

"Wow! She's really a screamer. We could hear her from all the way up here! I wonder how loud I could make her scream with my knives! Dabi, let me cut her!"
