Lore turned around and released Shinso who remained locked in place as if he were still under her quirk. He took off his mask, and his eyes looked over her face for a long moment.

He quietly asked, "What was that about?"

"I know you heard every word Tosh," she breathed before sucking down her tears at never seeing Touya again. Despite having just met him, she had spent the majority of her life quietly paying her respects to the missing Todoroki son. She had not expected to meet him again, for like everyone else, she figured he was gone...then again even if he wasn't dead she knew that Touya Todoroki was truly gone...only Dabi remained, and that saddened truth truly did hurt the informally adopted Todoroki daughter.

"You're sad, but I can't figure out why. They kidnapped you, destroyed your house, did shit I can't even begin to think about to your body. Why the hell are you sad? You should be fucking furious Lorna."

"They did some fucked up shit," she chuckled sadly. "But.. they helped me close a chapter of my life I wasn't sure I was ever going to close. I have spent years not being able to accept a part of my own story. Years I spent in denial as I failed to even think about a night that was so pivotal in creating the woman I am, but," Lore looked off in the direction Dabi had walked in, "he closed that chapter for me. I'm not the same teenager I was. I...I'm strong enough to accept what happened this time around. Yeah, they took me from my home, but they did not hurt me. I knew they wouldn't..somehow I knew they- Tomura- wouldn't hurt me. They helped me become stronger...and when I finally let myself break after all of this..I'm going to be ready to talk...about all of it."

Shinso's hooded purple eyes widened as he asked, "they were there?"

"Yeah. The last two of them were members of the League.. I killed them Hitoshi."

"You what?"

Lore nodded meekly. "I. Killed. Them."

The longest tensest moment the two best friends had ever shared stretched between them as their matching purple eyes remained locked. After what seemed like an eternity, Shinso reached out and snatched her neck to bring her into a hard hug. She clung to his chest as he placed his chin atop her head and mulled over everything she had just told him. The sounds of her sniffles filled his mind as he tried to collect his thoughts.

Eventually, he shook his head and murmured, "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter, not to me," he pledged. He kissed the top of her head. "I don't care what you did. We don't have to tell anyone. I'm never going to tell anyone. You hear me? I will take this to my grave."

Somehow his adamant support made her heart yearn. They lived in a world where heroes and villains were in a constant power struggle in which lives were often expenditures of villains' crimes and she did not feel much guilt for leveling out the margins by removing those two men...and Shinso wanting to hide her actions made her feel a pang of sadness. As the feelings of longing for someone else's embrace grew, she whispered, "I love you so much Hitoshi."

Shinso could feel her mood beginning to shift, so he kissed the top of her head knowing that she was going to pull away from him once more, but on the tiniest of chances she still needed him he promised, "I love you too Lorna. I'm not going to let anything happen to you. No one but us needs to know about this if you don't want them to."

Lore's ears picked up the sounds of explosions. She leaned back to see Shinso's worried face, and she hugged him once more for good measure before stepping away. Her eyes were on Bakugo's flying form as he launched his body off the top of the roof and toward her. As she looked at the man racing towards her, she said to Shinso, "I'm going to tell Katsuki."
