~27 miles away at the same time as the explosion~

Her mind snapped awake at the feeling of someone calling out to her. A connection stronger than any she had ever felt pulled her mind out of its drug-induced stupor. Lore woke up with a dark bag over her head unable to see the world around her.

She panicked and lashed out.

"Fuck!" someone cursed as her leg connected with someone's something. She couldn't tell what it was, but it clearly had hurt them. So naturally, she was going to hit it again because fuck them!

Before she could strike once more, someone jabbed a needle into her neck.

Her world went dark once again.

~~~
The next time she woke up. She tried to jerk up, but her arms and legs were shackled. She gasped and tugged against the chains. Her instincts kicked in, and she stopped struggling lest someone hear that she was awake. Instead, she looked around. It was a small dingy room with a single small window, and there were thick bars on it preventing her escape.
Someone had recently done laundry because the clean scent was fresh on the comforter that had been tossed over her body. Her naked chest poked out above the comforter, but the rest of her was covered at least. She tried to activate her quirk, but the shackles at her wrists hissed at her.
"What? Are they quirk canceling?"
Someone slowly clapped. She turned to see Compress sitting on a stool in the corner of the room. He removed his mask so that she could see his smiling face. His blonde crop of hair was pleasant enough, and it complimented the yellow in his impeccable 3 piece suit.
"I have to admit, you are recovering much quicker from the tranquilizer than we had thought you would."
It was a side effect of her quirk. Medications ran through her like piss, but she wasn't going to tell him that. Instead, she asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Metaphorically what am I doing in the League? Or in terms of relativity as in what am I doing in this room?"
She snorted a laugh despite the situation. What type of answer was that, and why did she want to know both of his answers? "Let's start with you being here with me. I'm sure I'll have time to listen to your full backstory later."
Compress gave her a surprised smile before he stood and walked over to her bedside. She cringed when he reached for the comforter. He picked it up with two fingers and brought it up to her shoulders. "It seemed rude to have a conversation while you were in that state."
"Thank you," she blushed. "I have to say I am surprised by how...dare I say civil... you're being."
Compress put his hand on his heart and bowed his head. "I'm afraid I will be the minority in that regard. Many of my colleagues will not treat you quite as respectfully."
"By that I'm sure you mean Dabi? How is he? Any permanent brain damage I hope?"
Compress hid his smile behind his cough. "I'm sorry, but no. He has made a full recovery."
Lore poked out her bottom lip and pouted, "Boo. I thought I had got him good too."
Compress found himself fully enraptured by the woman before him. He now understood Tomura's interest. Despite being chained down, her eyes were wide as they explored the room. She could have responded unkindly to him, yet she was conversing pleasantly.
"How are your wounds? Do you feel any discomfort?"
Her brows furred, and he watched as she shuffled beneath the blankets. She'd cringe every now and again with certain movements. "If we ignore the shackles rubbing me raw, I'm pretty sure my knee is crap out of luck. I'm bruised all over my back, but I don't feel any spinal cord damage."
