Chapter- 54 Hello Again

The last 24 hours had been insane. She vomited into a trash can, found out she was pregnant, got engaged, and was happier than she ever had been.

Lore held her bare arm up to the light that streamed through their picture window. The moonlight wrapped around her hand causing a shadow to curl around her ring finger. One day a simple ring given to her by Katsuki would adorn that finger. She was going to get to marry the man of her dreams.

Said hunk, dragged her farther underneath his chest as he slept beside her. His left arm was under the pillow at his face with his right was snaked around her waist in an impossibly hard hold. She had never felt safer in her life than when she was in Bakugo's arms. 

She looked at that spiky ash-blonde hair. When Bakugo slept his features were so much softer. Prettier even with his long brown lashes casting shadows over his chiseled cheek bones, and she secretly hoped their baby was the carbon copy of him.

She could see it now. A small angry child who would raise hell around their house while allowing her love for them to grow infinitely. Their stubbornness would never allow them to admit it, but they'd secretly hunger for the gentle touch only she could give while their father rough-housed with them daily. Their home would be filled with laughter, shouting, and the most explosive type of love.

That happy future was interrupted by the realities of pregnancy. 

Her stomach rolled over on itself, and she felt a wave of nausea rip through her. She slapped one hand over her mouth while she furiously smacked at Bakugo's arm knowing she couldn't get out without him moving it.

He startled awake and yelled, "What? What's wrong?!"

She shook her head and tossed him off of her. She barely made it to the bathroom as she threw up. She gripped the edge of the toilet seat as her entire body shook. Bakugo's bare feet slapped on the ground alerting her to his presence behind her. He had pulled on his sweats as he knelt behind her naked body. 

He used the hair tie he kept around his left wrist to pull her hair back for her.

"Your baby hates me," she moaned.

He put her curls in a bun and chuckled, "I'm sorry Lu. I would take the pain for you if I could. Is there anything I can do?"

She nodded and asked, "Can I have a glass of water and some saltines? I feel like I need something stable in my stomach."

He kissed her head before standing up. "I can get the water, but I'll need to run out for the crackers." He turned on the sink and handed her a cup of water.

She squished out her mouth and spat it in the toilet before flushing. Eventually, she drank the rest, and he took the cup back from her. As he helped her to her feet, she murmured, "It's okay my love. Don't worry about the crackers. It's too much of a hassle."

"It's not a fucking hassle. I'd go the sun and moon for you Lu. You are my everything. Getting some stupid crackers while you carry my child is the least I can do."

He tucked her back into bed, and she snuggled his hand into her cheek. "Are you sure baby?"

"Fuck yeah. Sleep..or something. I'll be back soon."

"Still the worst nurse ever," she sighed playfully.

He swatted her butt through the comforter and kissed her temple before slipping out. She dozed off until she heard their bedroom door creaking open. 

Assuming it was Bakugo, she rolled over and gave the shadow-cloaked figure a sweet smile. "Hey, handsome."

Something snaked down her spine when Bakugo didn't respond. That figure wasn't wide enough to be Bakugo, and why hadn't they said anything?
