74 - Doubts

Next morning

Lakshmi was watching Dev getting consulted by his doctor. Dev has not yet changed his bee sting face because of last night. Lakshmi could see that. She rolled her eyes watching his childishness

" Everything seems okay now. He is recovering fast " The doctor said to Lakshmi.

" When he can get discharged? " Lakshmi enquired. Dev suddenly frowned his eyebrows and stared at Lakshmi.

" May be by next week. His surgery stitches have to heal first. So atleast for one week better he doesn't move around much. Also it's important not to wet the stitches or he might get infection. " Doctor replied

" So he can do his own things right? " Lakshmi asked

" Hmm that's upto Mr Dev. Since sling is on his right hand it must be difficult to do everything like he used to. Also he told me his right hand is still in pain. It might take some days to remove that sling " doctor replied.

" Yeah m... I can't even move this hand slightly. On top of that a wound is there right on my biceps " Dev said inbetween. The doctor agreed with him so Lakshmi thought he might be right.

" Medicines will be given on time from here so you don't have to worry about that. So take care.... " Doctor passed a gentle smile and left from the room.

Once the doctor left a nurse came and dressed his stitches again. It should be done every alternate days. Also as per the doctors instruction she removed his tube and bag.

" Uff .... Now I feel a little relieved" Dev said taking a heavy breath.

" Mam, at 12 noon patient will be taken for scanning and x-ray. " Nurse informed that to Lakshmi and left from room.

One of his security knocked on the door for permission to come inside. Dev asked him about the matter.

"Sir,  You were getting continuous calls from home. Varada mam wants to meet you. Since your phone was..... "

" I already told you I don't want any visitors here " Dev didn't even let his security to complete what he wants to say. He agreed with Dev without saying anything.

" Also, Lavan... " Before he could say next matter Lavanya shut open the door and came inside.

" Mam was waiting outside.... " His security completed. Dev bit his lips to control not to shout at him because it's not his fault. She barged in making her own way. Dev singed at his security to go out and he did the same.

" Dev , how are you now? Do you know how much I was worried for you ? " Soon after coming inside Lavanya held on Dev's hand and started her drama.

Lakshmi poke her ears and moved towards a corner like she doesn't want to see this drama.

" Do you know what Lavanya..... I was indeed missing your company" hearing Dev's reply Lakshmi's eyes popped out and she looked at Dev

" Thank you so much for coming"  Dev said.

" Really? Oh thank God. I thought you are still mad at me Dev. Now my mind is at ease. After all how long you can be mad at me. We are good friends before any kind of relationship we share " Lavanya said and kissed on Dev's hand which she was holding. Lakshmi was watching this and Dev could see how her face is changing.

" You need something ? " Dev asked to Lavanya and looked around.

" No , no ... I am okay. " Lavanaya replied.

" Still........ Hhmm. Lakshmi " Dev quickly called Lakshmi.

" Get one freshly prepared watermelon juice for Lavanya. That's what you like... isn't it ? " Dev asked to Lavanya. She laughed gently thinking that he still remember her likes.
