Writer's Pov
The night wrapped itself around them like a secret. The sky outside was a deep velvet blue, and the lights of the city blinked far below, quiet and distant. Inside, Dev's penthouse glowed softly under the warm light from a few lamps. The air was filled with the faint scent of coffee, cologne, and her perfume, everything that belonged to them.
Lakshmi watched Dev loom above her with his broad-shouldered, intense, every line of him charged with quiet purpose. His eyes held her, dark and unhurried, and for a moment the world narrowed to the soft hush of the room and the steady thrum of their breathing. She let her head fall back, surrendering to the gentle gravity of him, every muscle slack with trust.
In a breath, his shirt and tie slipped away, a casual aftermath of motion, and he leaned down until the heat of his body was a promise against hers. His hands traced the fabric of her dress as if learning its shape, pausing at the knot. He met her gaze, searching for permission; she hesitated only an instant, then slid her arm up and threaded it around his neck, pulling him closer. The brief stop melted into something softer, a suspended moment of shared desire.
Their faces hovered, close enough to taste the faint salt of one another's breath. He brushed a thumb along her jaw, tender and deliberate, and she answered by tilting into him, lips parting in a small, unspoken invitation. The room hummed with warmth and the slow, delicious certainty that this was mutual, every touch ..... a conversation, every sigh ..... a promise.
The night wasn't soft .... it was immediate. In the bedroom, whispers turned to needy calls, and touch became a fierce demand. They fell onto the couch, not with a gentle move, but with a hard, hungry crash, their bodies refusing to be apart for even a second.
The kitchen was not a quiet stop; it was where their passion took over. Her hands shot out and tore at his hair while her body was pressed hard against the cold, clean counter. She let out a deep moan, hooking her legs tightly around his waist, a clear sign that she owned this moment. The cool marble only made the heat between them feel more wild.
Even on the balcony, under the blast of cold city wind, they were fire. The rattan swing chair creaked under the sudden, rough movement. He groaned deep and low, pulling her in with a desperate strength, stroking her head as if to apologize for his own unleashed hunger. They held onto each other, not for warmth against the breeze, but because their need was a powerful, dizzying storm that couldn't be stopped.
Every room in that penthouse burned with their presence. They left a trail of loud, honest passion, proving that for one night, the desire they felt was bigger than everything else.
As he drove in, deeper than before, Lakshmi's breath hitched—it was impossible to take air. The feeling was too big, too much. Her whole body shook, and she clawed at his shoulders, her voice a thin, broken sound.
"Oh, Dev!" she managed, her eyes squeezed shut. "Please..... stop!"
Dev's face was strained, his eyes dark with the same impossible pleasure. He tightened his grip on her hips, his own control dissolving. He lowered his mouth to her ear, his voice a low, desperate command.
"I can't stop, Lakshmi. I won't. I love you."
And then, with one final, shattering stroke, the world went white. Lakshmi could only gasp, her face buried in his neck. "Dev!" she whispered again, the sound now a trembling, broken cry of pure release. He held her weight, his own body rigid against hers, letting out a heavy, guttural groan of completion.
Next day Morning
A low, painful groan escaped Lakshmi as she slowly began to wake up. Her body ached in places she hadn't known existed, and she stretched out her arms and legs, immediately noticing the impossible softness of the mattress. She wasn't sure where she was, or even why she felt so heavy, so completely spent.
