65 - A rough start

Dear and dearest readers,

I am really sorry for taking such a long gap. I know many wanted to finish this story. Even though I remember the plot I almost forgot about the characters. So you may find something is off but still I will definitely finish this story may be side characters story will be missing and focus will be on main leads.
You can expect at least two update in a week.

Dev's pov

" Lakshmi...... Hear me first. Don't be like this " I was running behind Lakshmi to stop her. Even though I was shouting behind her to hear my side I really don't know what I should say to her.

I had lots of time with me to make her understand everything but I deliberately hide things from her just because of my fear. What if she leaves me for that reason ? Now it is happening in real.

" Lakshmi " I caught her by hand just before she close the door of our room.

" Leave..... What is there to explain ? I heard everything. You denied nothing what that dear friend of your said. What does that mean ? Huh ? " Lakshmi shouted at me and continued

"It means you are that one reason who destroyed my life before and now also. We shouldn't have met Dev. When we both are together one of us will destroy other. " Lakshmi swiped her tears while talking to me. It did hurt me.

My grip on her hand loosened and she walked inside the room. Behind her I also crawled like a weak soul. I thought once she calm down I will try to talk to her then she might understand it wasn't my mistake completely. But what made my heart race was Lakshmi leaving from the room.

She grabbed her wallet and phone from table and raged out. It was evening time and outside it already became dark. I doubted where she is going.

" Lakshmi where are you going ? " I again ran behind her but she was like she couldn't hear me at all. She went straight to meet Parvathi mom and that made me nervous. If she finds Lakshmi like this then definitely she is going to blame me and then take Lakshmi with her. But I couldn't do anything ,  before that Parvathi mom saw Lakshmi.

" What happened ? Lakshmi.... " Parvathi mom went near to Lakshmi and started enquiring her what happened.

" I need to go...... I don't want to stay with him. He is a liar..... Please mom... I need to go from here " Lakshmi held on Parvathi mom's hand and started crying. She looked at Lakshmi all confused and then glared at me. I was stumbled upon this unexpected situation. Lakshmi is not ready to hear my side so that I can explain her things well and now Parvathi mom also going to know about it then everything is finished.

" It's okay..... You relax first and talk to me in detail. Whatever issues you have with him..... Just tell me I will take care of it" Parvathi mom consoled Lakshmi gently and at the same time she was throwing daggers at me through her stare.

" No ..... I just don't want to see his face. He...... He ........  I am leaving " Lechu left Parvathi mom's hand and ran out from there.

" What did you have done to her ? " Parvathi mom raged at me blaming for Lakshmi's current condition. She isn't wrong in that guess.

Without reltying I turned and hurried towards Lakshmi but before I could stop her Lakshmi took Parvathi mom's car and left from there driving very rashly.

" Oh my..... What the hell are you looking at Dev ? Go behind her and stop Lakshmi. She seemed to be emotionally unstable now. In this condition it is dangerous to let her drive alone and it's already dark outside " Parvathi mom screamed in front of me.
