71 - Misunderstanding

" I think her hand is burnt" Yuvi held back Lakshmi when Dev tried to take her with him

" Yuvi.... I could see that. " Dev replied in his husky voice and stood stern in front of Yuvi to leave his hand from Lakshmi.

" I am okay..." Lakshmi tried to say watching that tension filled scene

" Come with me " Dev dragged her from there towards his cabin. He literally threw her towards that leather couch and took the intercom . Dev asked Tina his secretary to bring a first aid box to his room soon.

Dev leaned back to his office table by crossing his hands. He was staring at Lakshmi like she is a criminal. She held on the coffee cover tightly in which she was carrying those tapping devices. She gulped a huge lump from throat and watched Dev fearfully.

Meanwhile Tina came with first aid box and left from there silently with a smile on her face. Dev came and sat beside Lakshmi to put an ointment on her brunt skin. He kept on blowing it while putting the medicine. Lakshmi's grip on the coffee cover loosened while watching Dev's face. Her heart was beating so fast when he came so close to her. She kept on watching his facial features.

" Ahhh.. " Lakshmi quickly shut her eyes and turned her face from Dev's.

" What happened ? " Dev asked with so much concern thinking that he hurts her.

" Nothing, something flashed into my mind" Lakshmi replied in trembling voice. Dev sat beside her silently for some time fiddling with the tissue in his hand and some thoughts in his mind.
Lakshmi was looking around to check whether Dev's cabin got any cctv camera. Her eyes also spotted the places where she could keep those devices.

" Yuvi and.... You.... " Dev was not sure about what he is going to ask is right or wrong.

" Lakshmi.... Do you still have any feelings for Yuvi ? " he asked to her without leaving a gap to breathe. Lakshmi turned and looked at Dev in a shock. She didn't expect that Dev will ask such a question to her. Dev was also looking straight into her eyes with those curious eyes.

Lakshmi leaned back to the coach diverting her gaze from Dev. His heart sank a bit when she doesn't say no soon after his question.

" Do you still have feelings for Nisha? " Lakshmi asked to Dev.

" That's not the answer for my question Lakshmi" Dev replied.

" Reply me , after that I will reply" Lakshmi said.

Dev didn't like the way Lakshmi handled his doubt. Because his feelings for Nisha is different from feelings between Lakshmi and Dev. Moreover Nisha is no more. He lost her and she is in a position where he can't even hate her now. Why so much hatred for a dead person when she already paid for her mistakes with own life.

" I don't know" Lakshmi replied blatantly.

" You don't know ? What kind of reply is that ? It should be either yes or no " Dev said getting annoyed by her reply.

" You still can't say a no for my question? " Dev asked and Lakshmi remained silent.

" It's true that I stopped loving him but that doesn't mean that I hate him or I could forget those days when we loved each other. " Lakshmi replied without looking at Dev's face. She stopped for a second and then turned towards Dev.

" Because those memories are very special for me. My most happiest days " Lakshmi said making Dev burn in jealousy.

" So what's the meaning of last night we spent " Dev asked clenching his jaw.
