"What's this?" Quinn asked, looking up towards Grace as the teenager continued her walk towards the fridge with Lilith on her hip.
She looked down at the thick piece of paper that the sophomore had placed in front of her in confusion, slowly picking it up off her laptop and turning it over. Quinn's frown disappeared instantly and was replaced with a bright smile, blushing softly, when she noticed Grace's most recent painting.

A beautiful painting of what looked to be them both kissing filled the page and brought to life Quinn's heart eyes as she looked from the art work to the artist trying to bashfully hide at the counter prepping lunch for herself. She knew it was hard to get most feelings out of Grace, but Quinn had come to learn that art was her outlet and communication line when she needed it most.
Instead of looking for an answer to her question, Quinn rose from her seat and placed the painting down on her computer. She crossed the kitchen and slipped her arms around Grace's waist with a soft kiss to the side of her head, then to Lilith's cheek when she turned to look at her.
"It's beautiful." Quinn whispered, nuzzling her nose against her ear. "You are so talented."
Grace focused down on her sandwich as she slowly puled the crust of the sides and weakly shrugged, doing her best to ignore the heat rising on her face.
"I just...draw things that make sense."
"Do we?" Quinn asked, leaning around slightly and moving so she was in Grace's view with her hand still resting on the small of her back. "Do we make sense?"
"I, uh..." Grace bit her lip, throwing the last bit of crust to the side and rising her hazelnut sandwich to her mouth. She took a small bite and nervously met Quinn's eyes, looking away seconds later. "I'm trying to figure that out because I care about you...and I appreciate how you've...you've treated me. You do a lot for our children and me and I don't want you to...to feel like you don't. Because you do. Sorry for being an ass to you lately."
