With the her daughter's quinceañera fast approaching, Ellarose Jones was busy at work trying to make sure everything would be perfect along side her wife and their parents for the event. She was determined to make sure Grace's quinces was perfect despite their situation and judgmental blended family.

"When I turned fifteen, my Momma got me a hamster...It chewed on a cord to one of Cedes' toys and electrocuted itself a week later because Micheal forgot to close the cage door." Destiny chuckled after a long moment of silence, looking at the different balloon colors in front of them at the party store with a soft hum. "You know...I think that color looks green."

"That's shamrock, D. We want emerald to match her dress. Brings out her eyes." Ella shook her head instantly, tilting her head and looking from her Pinterest board on her phone to the balloons again. "And we need gold, black, and silver."

"Okay...how about that one? It's-"

"Evergreen."

Destiny rolled her eyes at the interruption. She turned and looked to her wife, carefully brushing her hair behind her ear and kissing her cheek in hopes of helping calm her nerves.

"Ellie, take a deep breath. Things will be perfect either way." Destiny tried to reassure the stressed mother. She laced their fingers together and kissed her wife's knuckles with a soft smile. "Grace is already so grateful for what you've done. Evergreen or emerald will both be fine."
