Grace hated the idea of marriage for a long time. She had grown up understanding her mothers had been married out of state, but still, it was up in the air if anyone would have accepted that.

She hated that she was expected to be in her father's wedding alongside her boyfriend and best friend, though she would have her fingers crossed with Raegan for the man to trip on his face or something behind their flowers.

In the past, Grace hated the idea of being tied to someone, even more so when she got pregnant. She didn't want to connect herself to someone that would leave and draw out to the process of forgetting them with legal battles. It all seemed like a nightmare, which was why she refused to let anyone change her children's last names unless she was married.

Would it be up in the air if Grace wasn't to marry one of her baby daddies?

Obviously, but that could be discussed later.

Then and only then would Grace drop her quadruple-hyphened name and accept a chance to move forward as someone new. And she believed that completely.

Marriage would be like starting her life over again with a permanent best friend.

A family.

A family that distantly contained Brittany Evans as of an hour ago in the smelly locker room at Mckinley between classes.

Brittany deserved more than that, and it pissed Grace off that she had to stand beside Finn and pretend she wasn't about to cry. She appreciated his offering to come and help support her, knowing this was more of a funeral than a wedding, but it still made her stomach twist watching the ceremony Coach Bieste put together.

Grace wouldn't admit it out loud, but she wanted it all if she were to get married.

Though she hated everyone on this horrible planet, Grace wanted the proposal -- nothing too big, in her face, or romantic because she hated people's attention. She would want the bridal shop escapades, the planning, and the...well, everything. She wanted the chance to rub it in everyone's faces that she wasn't that girl. She would get married and show her ass on her wedding day because she lived and got a hot partner with pretty kids and the perfect life.

Grace would do whatever was needed to give her kid's that perfect stable family, stable life she knew they needed.

Brittany deserved more than some humid locker room.
