Seventeen's Perspective: Jeonghan pov:
"And that's another win for Aera! Good heavens, the girl's good! Put that down on the board please, hyung!" Seungkwan announced using a knife as a stand in mic.
I smiled and slowly scratched another tally onto the cracked chalkboard. Clever girl. A red portal suddenly materialized and I turned my head to welcome two bloody figures.
"Wonwoo. Hoshi. Welcome back."
Wonwoo huffed and threw his jacket on the floor, mumbling about going to take a shower. I raised my eyebrow at a defeated Hoshi who had plopped on a couch in the corner.
"How did your game go Hoshi?"
". . ."
"Hoshi?"
"A fucking four man escape."
"You were doomed from the start hyung. Aera's a death sentence to anyones kill streak!" Seungkwan chirped, skipping over.
Hoshi glared and watched as the younger male happily left the room.
"You have to admit Hoshi. She's good." I sighed.
"No shit. Always getting great skill checks on the generators, unhooking survivors without a scratch, looping perfectly, and getting pallet stuns left and right, it's fucked up man. Sometimes I wonder if the Entity has her marked as his favorite or something." Hoshi grumbled.
I shrugged.
"Well according to the tallies she's been in 476 games, escaped all of them, executed 200 stuns, and has 172 unhooks. I'm not shocked anymore. Aera's clearly an ace."
"I wish she wasn't a Survivor." Hoshi spoke.
I tilted my head in interest.
"Go on."
"I mean like I know the Entity is bored these days but like damn, I don't want to kill her. I can slay the other poor schmucks but I feel bad when I'm chasing Aera."
"Understandable." I answered.
"Maybe someday those wishes will come true. Someday."
A few years later. S.Coups perspective:
"What's up boss?" I asked, staring at the black floating mass in front of me.
"Yeah, when can we get into more rounds? I'm bored." Woozi said beside me.
"Gentlemen. Please take a seat."
All thirteen of us complied and waited patiently for the news.
"Alrighty boys, so I have some bad and good news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
"Bad." Hansol piped up.
"Fine with me. So there won't be any matches for a while."
There was a pause. Then came the uproar.
"What the hell?" Woozi hissed.
"You promised we would satisfy our vengeance here! That our thirst for blood would be satisfied!" Dino pushed.
"Settle down gentlemen. I haven't finished. Somehow there's been a rift of some sort in this universe and I am afraid that the survivors have escaped from this game world and into the real world. And yes, that does include that one girl called Aera."
I gasped. All of us didn't want to admit it but Aera was special to us in a strange way. Perhaps it was because she had escaped out of our clutches each game. Or perhaps it was the tense games that we would have with her. Either way, this was drastic news.
"And what's the good news?" I asked coldly.
"You guys will be able to cure your boredom. I'm sending you to Earth to find at least 100 new players to fill in for the ones we've lost. The amount of time you spend there does not matter, as long as you bring back new survivors."
I looked at the others.
"Fine. When do we leave?"
"Tonight."
As the thirteen of us exited the meeting room, The8 suddenly whispered into my ear.
"Don't be so downcast, hyung. Sure Aera may be gone but I'm sure we can find someone who can replace her."
I shook my head.
"I don't think so The8. She's special in everyone's minds and the only good thing that could happen on Earth is if we found her again. But like that's never happening. Hah."
"Don't say never, hyung. Don't say never."
I watched as the younger male strode out leaving me with his words. Would we find our little treasure? I could only guess time would tell.
