Aera Pov:

It had been three days since Mingyu had locked me away. I gripped the spoon in my left hand tightly feeling the cold metal against my skin. It was now or never.

"Let's do this."

I quickly set the spoon in the slit of the screw that was holding one of my chains in place and got to work.

"C'mon. C'mon. Yes!"

The fetters clinked onto the floor and I heaved a deep sigh of relief. One obstacle down. Next, I set my sights on the air vent in my room. Unlocking it, I quietly began to travel down it. I had no idea where it would spit me out, but by god I was going to try to escape.

The cool night air hit my face as I exited the vents. I shivered and stared back at the house behind me. I had been trapped there for about 3 weeks. Now it was time to leave. I sprinted away and soon reached the outskirts of the city. Every shop was closed and for a second wondered where the hell I was going. I had no phone or no way of contacting my friends of my situation. I glanced at the street sign. Hongdae. That's right, The Kangaroo would only be a few blocks away. The cafe closed at 10 PM, perhaps Chris or Felix would still be there.

I quickened my pace. Suddenly a black Mercedes pulled up in front of me. I gasped and ducked into an alleyway. My eyes widened when I noticed who came out. Jun and Minghao.

"She'll be nearby. Start searching." I heard S.Coups shout from the driver's seat.

I gulped. I would be so dead if I was caught. I gazed around and noticed a back exit of the alley I was hiding in. After running past countless dumpsters, the occasional sleeping hobo, and skittering rats, I saw the glowing sign of The Kangaroo. Glancing both ways, I saw no one so I dashed over to the back entrance of the cafe. Just as I had hoped Chris and Felix were finishing up, washing dishes and storing spare pastries. Panicked, I rapped hard on the glass hoping to gain one of the duo's attention.

"Chris! Felix! Over here! Look here, dammit!"

I smiled as Felix finally glanced towards my direction, his eyes widening as he saw me. Unfortunately, Chris grabbed his arm and suddenly showed his friend something on his phone.

"No! Not now!" I screamed.

"What's wrong?" A voice whispered into my ear.

I was whisked away into the darkness by a strong arm. I could only watch in horror as Felix opened the door only to see nothing.

"Aera? Is that you?" He called scanning both ways.

"Felix, mate, what's up?" Chris called from inside.

"Ah. Nothing. Just thought I saw something."

"Ay come back inside and close the door will you? It's so fucking cold tonight."

"Y-eah."

I began to sob as I watched the door close. No. This couldn't be happening. I felt Minghao's hand on my cheek.

"Aww don't cry princess. It'll be all done soon. Now let's get you back home. Hmm?"

With that the male pressed a chloroformed cloth into my face, and I soon blacked out. I was awoken by the buzz of a chainsaw. My eyes widened when I realized I was strapped down onto a medical table. I glanced back up at Mingyu who was now staring back at me.

"Huh. You're awake."

"Mingyu! Release me at once!"

The male chuckled darkly.

"Hehehe. I will, don't worry. But you'll have to face the consequences for your escape attempt."

"What consequences?"

"Remember a few days ago? I warned you if you tried anything you would lose an-"

"Arm and a leg." I finished.

My eyes widened.

'Wait! You can't possibly be serious about that!"

"Of course I was serious dear. Now which ones do you want me to chop off?"

I shook my head frantically.

"Neither! Don't you dare, Kim Mingyu!"

"Tsk. Well then I'll choose for you. Hmm I think we'll do opposite limbs. Which arm is your dominant?"

I didn't answer.

"Aera. Didn't you hear me?"

I gulped. If I was going to lose an arm I wanted at least to keep my dominant hand.

"Left." I muttered.

"Left arm and right leg it is then."

I sobbed as Mingyu stood and revved the chainsaw.

"Please. You don't have to do this." I begged.

"Too late princess. Don't worry I'll be quick."

The blade fell and I soon felt the worst pain in my life.
