A Killer's Obsession

Chapter 8

DK Pov:

I woke to the sound of chains clinking from downstairs. Mingyu and Wonwoo had returned last night successfully carrying an unconscious Aera in their arms. While it was certainly tempting to just watch the girl as she slept, Jeonghan had eventually been able to convince us to leave. Well it now seemed that she was awake. I quietly opened Aera's bedroom door and watched as the young woman struggled to unlock her leg cuffs with a homemade lock pick.

"Ahem." I coughed causing Aera to jump in surprise.

"Dokyeom. I should have known you and your brothers kidnapped me. Let me go!" She hissed.

I sat down on the bed.

"No can do. Now hand me that."

I spoke gently to Aera like a mother to a child, and quickly removed the lock pick from the girl's hand.

"Ugh! I hate you."

I shrugged.

"That hurts, but I'm sure in time you'll see that we don't want to harm you."

"Hard to believe since for the last 4 years you guys have been trying to kill me." Aera sighed.

"Blame the Entity."

Aera didn't reply. Suddenly a loud grumble sounded from her stomach.

"When did you last eat?" I asked, worried.

"Yesterday's lunch."

"You didn't eat dinner?"

"Nope."

"What do you want for breakfast then?"

Aera frowned.

"Why do you care?"

"Now now, don't be so upset. Just answer my question."

"Ramen." The girl muttered.

I nodded.

"Now was that so hard?"

"Yes."

Ignoring that statement, I stood and prepared to leave.

"I'll be back in 10 minutes with your food so just stay here and don't make any trouble."

"What if I'm bored?"

"There's some books in the corner, and some drawing supplies."

Aera looked unnerved.

"How did you know reading and sketching are my favorite hobbies? These books are even by my favorite author!"

"We've been watching you for a long time dear. A very long time."

"Wait what? Since when?"

"Not important. Now just be good while I'm gone."

"What if I'm not?" Aera pressed.

I sighed. Damn, this girl was starting to get on my nerves.

"I'm sure S.Coups would like to have a nice 'talk' with Kyuin, Lily, and Haewon."

Aera's eyes widened.

"Leave them out of this!"

"I will if you behave."

With that I shut the door and locked it. It was time for Aera and I to get familiar once more.
