A Killer's Obsession

Chapter 1

Aera POV. 

"Holy crap, Aera! You really are the ace!"

I smiled and offered my hand to Haewon.

"Practice makes perfect, does it not?"

I heard applause and squeals from the benches and turned to see Lily and Kyujin cheering in unison.

"Park Aera! Park Aera! Park Aera!"

"C'mon you two. Back to practice."

The duo giggled before wearing their masks again picking up their fencing swords again.

It had been a whole 2 years since I had escaped the clutches of the Entity. I had first been sucked in at the age of 16 and had not aged in that realm. Now that I was back on earth, I had grown older, and more mature. I was enrolled in HYBE university, and befriended Haewon, Lily, and Kyujin. There I had joined the fencing team, and according to everyone was an ace. Perhaps it was the thrill of the fight that boosted my skills, or the multiple chases with the killers in the Entity's realm that had sharpened my senses. Either way I was glad for the form of self defense.

"Lily! Not fair!" I heard Kyujin whine.

"You dropped your guard silly!"

Haewon and I watched as the two continued to spar. Back and forth, thrust and guard, a constant movement keeping them on their toes. Phweet! I blew the whistle and the duo collapsed, exhausted.

"Ugh, I can't believe it's only 7:30 AM." Lilly groaned.

"Yeah. We still have classes starting in an hour." Kyujin added, taking a sip of water.

"Good work today girls. Let's hit the showers!" I spoke, grinning.

"Aye aye captain!" came the response.

We all left the gym with high spirits, ready for the rest of the day. Unfortunately for me, it was about to turn for the worse.
