A Killer's Obsession

Chapter 7

Aera Pov:

"Who was that?" Haewon asked from beside me.

I bit my lip.

"Hansol."

"One of the new kids right?"

"Yeah." I muttered.

"Seriously Aera, what did you do? They seem to be totally attracted to you!"

I frowned.

"Nah, if anything I think they're stalking me."

Haewon chuckled.

"Girl, I think you're just being paranoid. It's a university and you said they share almost all their classes with you right?" The girl added, taking a swig of her water.

I hesitantly nodded.

"See. All those instances you bumped into them in the library or the halls, they're probably just studying like you. There is no need to fret."

Sighing, I stood from my seat. Why was I even trying to convince them? It wasn't like they could understand. Who would believe that the 13 handsome fellows were actually supernatural killers?

"Heading to the library?" Haewon asked after me.

"Nah. I'll head to work early."

1 hour later:

"Thank you, and please come again!" I smiled and waved to the customer as they left.

Phew. An hour without a hitch. Maybe Haewon was right and I was being too paranoid. Ding! The bell rang and I suddenly felt sick as I recognized the two suited men. Woozi. Hoshi. The shorter male sat down while Hoshi made his way over to the counter.

"Oh Aera! Fancy seeing you here." Hoshi spoke with a playful grin plastered on his stupidly handsome face.

"Yeah right. Just please give me your order so you can leave me be, and do me a favor and tell your friends to leave me alone." I growled, fists clenched.

"Leave you alone? What could you mean, dear?"

"You know very well what I mean. I enjoy my life up here more than when I was stuck in the Entity's clutches and would like it for things to remain this way. Now what do you want?"

"Hmm. Two large americanos, two churros, and two apple cinnamon spice muffins please."

I stiffly nodded and quickly tallied up the total.

"That would be $17.00."

"Expensive."

"Too bad. That's the price."

Hoshi paid and I watched as he returned to Woozi. Why were they here? Those thoughts were sorely interrupted as a deep voice spoke from behind me.

"What's wrong Aera?"

I jolted in surprise.

"Felix. Oh sorry I was just lost in my thoughts."

The young Australian smiled.

"Understandable. You know if you need a break, Han can always take over."

"No thanks, Lixie. I don't think it's a good idea to let Han near the hot beverages. He'll probably spill some on a random Karen and set the whole place ablaze." I joked.

Felix grinned and gave out a hearty laugh.

"True true."

"Hey Felix,we're out of brownies, can you make a fresh batch?" Changbin's head poked from the kitchen door.

I nodded toward the male.

"Go on to your boyfriend, young man."

Felix gave a quick wink before leaving. I glanced towards where I had seen Hoshi and Woozi sit. Unfortunately they were still there. Great. Just great. The end of my shift arrived quickly and still the duo remained in the cafe. I sighed and headed back into the kitchen. Luckily, Chris was still there.

"Hey Chris." I called poking the man.

"Hmm? Oh hey Aera. What's up mate?"

"I think I'm being followed."

The Australian's face fell.

"What? Who?"

"Two men in this cafe. They just won't leave and keep looking at me."

Chris quickly took a peek outside.

"Aera. . . there's no one there."

I froze. What?

"Hey I can give you a ride home at least." Chris offered.

I nodded.

"That would be great. Thanks."

Fifteen minutes later, I thanked Chris as I exited his car.

"Thanks again, Chris."

"No worries. Just call me if anything happens okay?"

I smiled reassuringly.

"Of course."

As I watched the vehicle drive away I took a deep breath. I didn't know where Woozi and Hoshi had gone but hopefully they hadn't been able to track me to my apartment. I slowly opened the door to my dark home and sighed. Home sweet ho-

Suddenly strong arms were wrapped around my waist pinning me in place. I attempted to scream but a cloth with some sort of chemical was pressed into my face. I thrashed violently and felt tears sting my face. Why? Why now?

"Just breathe Aera. Just breathe." A voice gently whispered into my ear.

I breathed in and soon fell asleep.
