Y/n's p.o.v
I paced back and forth behind the register counter of the shop biting my nails anxiously. I had so much confidence last night! I planned on giving Alastor a call and telling him I decided on making a deal but here I am now shaking in my shoes. My boss eyed me from the other side of the counter a clipboard in hand. He had his eyebrow raised a concerned look on his face.
"You okay kid? You seem off today."
I nodded my head and gave him a weak smile. "Yeah, I think so. I just didn't sleep well last night so I have the jitters pretty bad." It was a horrible excuse but I only hoped Vic would take it which thankfully he did.
"Okay, well let me know if you need anything." He began to trot away before I called out to him.
"Actually, is it okay if I take a quick five minute break? I just want to get some fresh air." Vic gave me permission which I took quickly and walked out the back door leaning my back up against the cold brick. I pulled my phone out swiping through contacts before pausing at a certain name. I pressed on it quietly panicking before placing the phone to my ear listening to each ring before a click.
"Hello?"
Alastor's p.o.v
I sat at my desk hand on my head as I dipped my feathered pen into the cup of ink sitting beside me. A pile of paperwork sat at the corner of the glossed wood. A record played quietly and I quietly hummed along contently. My shadow danced around-well hovered above the ground annoyingly before I finally looked up fixing my monocle.
"Could you restrain from moving around so freely. It's disturbing my concentration."
The shadow huffed and folded his arms. "Well, it's not my fault you decided to work at such a dull place. You used to dance all the time don't you remember? It's not like you have to be here."
The shadow had a point. When I first arrived at the hotel my plan was to take it over and watch as the demon belle's business crumpled to the ground. A lovely performance actually. I suppose I've grown a soft spot for the princess without giving it a second thought. I sighed and stood up from my chair stretching my long legs. Being tall was not a gift.
"I'll have you kno-"
Ring ring ring.
I quickly sat back down and reached for the ringing phone on the desk a glimmer of excitement in my eyes.
"Hello?"
3rd person p.o.v
"Uhmm, Alastor?"
"Yes! That is I! May I ask who this is?"
"It's y/n."
Alastor's eyes widened and a bright smile spread across his face.
"Ah y/n! Fancy hearing from you! What is it that I may help you with on this lovely day?"
She went silent a moment before gulping and spoke up carefully as to not stutter. "Are you free later tonight? I mean when the shop closes? I had a few questions."
"She wants to make the deal! She want to m-" Alastor snapped his fingers and his shadow's lips were zipped shut causing the dark figure to claw at his mouth in protest. The buck let out a satisfied hum before bringing his attention back to y/n.
"Of course! I can make some time then."
Y/n let out a shaky breath with no relief, instead feeling more anxious than She did earlier. "Great. I'll see you then." She hung up the phone and placed her head back sliding down the cold brick wall. She was either stupid or just desperate but She didn't want to choose either. Y/n knew She was probably making a grave mistake but She refused to change her mind now. She rose to her feet and trotted back inside sluggishly ignoring the pestering voice inside her head to stray away from the radio demon hurriedly.
