Chapter 21

The next couple of days have been a blur. Not being able to do anything sucks. The Fire&Ice competition got moved to yesterday. My team got second as I stood on the side. Even though I was hurt I still cheered them on.

As I'm laying in bed, I get a text from my dad.

D: Morning cupcake. Meet me in the office with cam

I got up and slipped on a pair of sweats and a purple shirt. I walked over to Cams room and told him dad wanted us. When we got to the office, we sat down.

"Okay. You know how we always have a family gathering around this time right? Well we're having it tomorrow. I want you guys to bring your friends." Dad said. We nodded our heads and started leaving.

"Oh, and there's also going to be a surprise for you tomorrow, Meggan." He said. I was confused and looked at Cam who had a smirk on his face.

Cams POV

Oh, I know what that surprise is. I can't wait for her to see it. I'm gonna make sure to get it on camera.

Meggan's POV

After we told everyone Whats going on, I went to bed since it was already 10 at night. I wonder what the surprise is.

The next morning I woke up and got something to eat. As I'm walking back to my room, I see my dad.

"Good morning." I said

"Good morning. Don't forget to be in the ball room around 12." He said. I nodded my head and went to my room.

I picked out my outfit I'm going to wear. I decided on wearing black leggings, a navy striped long sleeve shirt, and black vans. After setting that out, I hoped in the shower. After I got out I dried myself off. I did my make up and turned on my curling wand. After it was done heating up, i curled my hair.

I put on my undergarments and put on the outfit.

When I got everything done and made sure I look fine, it was already 11:37.

I walked over to Cams room without my crutches. I asked the doctor if I could use a brace for today. He said that's fine as long as it's only for today. But I have to be easy on it.

I walked in and all the boys were there. They all looked great. Cam sees me and smiles. He comes up to me and hugs me.

"You look great sis." He said. "Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." I said back smiling. He left and sat by Nash and Matt.

Hayes comes up to me and hugs me.

"You look beautiful Meggan." He whispered in my ear causing my stomach to explode with butterflies.

"Thank you. You look great too." I said back smiling. He smiled back and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. We all hung out for a little more until 11:50.

"We should head down there now." Nash said. We all walked to the elevator and somehow all of us fit in it. When we got down to the lobby I jumped out of the elevator breathing a little heavy.

"Meggan, what's wrong?" Hayes asked worried. I was still trying to get my breath back.

"Oh, crap. I forgot she can't take tight spaces. I'm sorry Meggan." Cam said.

"It's okay." I said after I managed to get my breath back.

We walked over to the ball room. When we walked in it was decorated with flowers. There was three tables, one with food of course. One with drinks, and one with presents. You see, this is kinda like our Christmas get together since we don't get together during Christmas.

The rest of the family was here waiting on us. Everyone came over and did the whole hugging thing. After that, we all ate and just talked. You know, catching up on things.

"All right everyone, it's time for presents." My aunt Shellie announced.

We all went over to the side of the room with the table of presents. All the adults had a chair and us kids sat on the floor. Hayes, for some reason, sat behind me with his legs by my side so I was siting in between them. I looked at him with a confused smile. He just smiled back cheekily.

After opening all the presents, I said thank you to everyone who got me something. I took out my phone and went on social media of course.

"Meggan, there's one more gift for you." I heard my Aunt Donna say. I look up and see almost everyone have their phones out recording me. I was confused as to why.

I look at Cameron and he points over to the far corner. I look over and see something I've wanted to see for a long time.

Dressed in his uniform, standing there with a bouquet of flowers, is my uncle I haven't seen for 8-9 months. I scream and run towards him. He opens his arms and I jump in them. I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my back holding me up. I was crying so hard. I could tell he was crying too.

I look up at him and smile. He kisses my cheek.

"I m-missed you so much!!" I said smiling while crying.

"I missed you so much more." he said smiling back. I laughed a little having more tears fall down. He wipes them away and hugs me again.

He walks over to the rest of the family, with me still in his arms, and everyone comes and gives us a group hug.

After they let go, he sat down on the ground and set me on his lap. I was still hugging him.

"Geez. I guess you did miss me." He said chuckling.

"Yeah she did." Cameron said laughing. I would usually shoot a look at him but I was too busy paying attention to my uncle, who was now with me.

For the rest of the night, until we had to go to bed, I never left my uncles side. Except for when one of us had to use the restroom of course. Because that's just nashty.

This was the best present I've ever gotten in my whole life.

Hey guys. I'm so sorry for not updating lately again. I've been busy with school since it's almost over for me. Also since I'm leaving middle school going into high school. And let me tell you, I'm nervous as crap.
