SEULGI'S POV

Four days have swiftly passed by...

Currently, we find ourselves engrossed in the task of packing our belongings, as our flight back to Korea is scheduled for tomorrow. Jisoo had taken the initiative to inform Uncle, his Dad, about our departure the previous day. Following this, we decided to spend some quality time with our friends here in Los Angeles. We had bid our heartfelt goodbyes to our University a week prior, allowing us a full week to tie up loose ends and complete pending tasks.

"I'm done! Yahoo!" The voice echoed through the room, unmistakably Jisoo's.

"I'm done too," chimed in Jeongyeon and Tzuyu, their voices harmonizing perfectly.

"I'm nearly there," I added, glancing over at Limario who was comfortably lounging on the couch, engrossed in her favorite book and sipping her coffee.

"Hey, you monkey, start packing your stuff. We won't have time later since we're meeting our friends," I reminded her, suspecting she might have forgotten our plans amidst her relaxation.

Perhaps she had forgotten, which would explain her audacity to relax while the rest of us were bustling around, packing our things.

"I'm done, Bear," she responded nonchalantly, gesturing towards her room's door.

We all followed her pointing finger to see her bags and luggage neatly arranged. I should have remembered, that she is Lisa Manoban Bruschweiler, a person who always ensures she completes her tasks ahead of time.

"I packed my things earlier while all of you were still in the land of dreams," she added, her eyes never leaving her book.

I could only respond with a surprised "O" shaped expression.

"So, we're all set here, let's grab some brunch and get ready for our night out," Jeongyeon suggested cheerfully.

"Let's make the most of our last day here in L.A.!" Jisoo exclaimed, her fist punching the air in excitement.

"Let's have a blast, guys," Limario added, her smile wide and infectious.

"We definitely should," Tzuyu agreed.

I couldn't help but smile and nod in agreement. It warmed my heart to see us like this, carefree and genuine. Only our family and closest friends have the privilege to see us in this light. In front of others, we present different versions of ourselves.

Korea, we're coming home. Wait for us.

ROSIE'S POV

"She's returning here..." I murmured under my breath.

"Who's returning?" Sana inquired, her brows furrowed in confusion.

"Indeed, who's coming back? Are you alright, Rosie?" Nayeon chimed in, her voice laced with concern.

Nayeon and Sana were at my place, anticipating our girls' night out. Irene and Jennie were yet to arrive.

"She's returning... my ex," I confessed, my emotions a whirlwind of uncertainty.

"But how? How did you find out she's coming back?" Sana probed, her confusion persisting.

Her bewilderment was understandable. My ex had vanished from my life without a trace, without a farewell, without an explanation. We had been a couple since my sophomore year in high school, while she was a junior. She abandoned me nearly two years ago, just two agonizing days before our third anniversary. That day is etched in my memory, a day when my tears flowed like a river, almost drowning me in sorrow. I'll never forget that day, the day she chose to shatter my heart into a million pieces. The day she reneged on all her promises. The day she walked out of my life.

Lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice the tears trickling down my cheeks.

"No, no, no, she doesn't deserve your tears, Chaeng." Sana moved closer, wrapping me in a comforting embrace. Nayeon followed suit.

"I can't, girls. I can't hold back my tears. I can't erase the memories of us. It's as if our relationship meant nothing to her. She never valued me, never valued us. She abandoned me without a second thought. Yet, I can't forget her or the pain she inflicted. I just can't," I sobbed, my heartache spilling over.

I could try to forget our past, but the pain she inflicted will forever be a scar on my heart. Like a physical scar, it may heal, but it will never completely fade. The pain may subside, but the memory of it will always linger. This scar will serve as a constant reminder of my painful past, of her.

After a few minutes of letting my tears flow freely, I managed to regain my composure. Sensing my need for space, Sana and Nayeon retreated downstairs to await Irene and Jennie.

Alone, I found myself rereading her text message.

It's me, Rosie. I'm coming back. I know I've caused you pain, but please allow me the opportunity to explain. I understand this is difficult for you.

Let me know when you're ready to see me. I'll wait for you, as always, at our favorite place.

I'm sorry.

I didn't respond.

If only she knew the depth of my pain. How it feels to be insignificant to someone who means the world to you.
