JEONGYEON'S POV
"PII CHAAI!" Chanty shouted as soon as she spotted us.
I believe we're in even deeper trouble now than we were with Auntie Chitthip yesterday.
"Do you know her?" I overheard Irene asking Jisoo.
"Yeah," Jisoo responded briefly.
Chanty dashed towards us, arms open for a big hug. However, her expression quickly shifted from excitement to a look of sudden realization, causing her to freeze in her tracks.
In the blink of an eye, her expression changed from excitement to a menacing glare, resembling Auntie Chitthip.
"You owe me an explanation," she said with a serious tone, eyeing each of us as if we had just pulled off the heist of the century.
"I'll explain later. But first, Chanty, tell me what's going on here," Lisa asked calmly.
"When I entered the cafeteria, this was the scene I walked into. Then, I heard someone sobbing," Chanty answered right away.
"Who's sobbing?" I questioned.
Chanty pointed towards the center of the cafeteria. As we turned to look, we saw a girl standing there with her head down, appearing visibly embarrassed. She looked so messy.
"Judging by her current state, I'm certain something unpleasant occurred before we arrived here," Tzuyu remarked.
"I can't wrap my head around the fact that a University known for its discipline, not just here in South Korea but across Asia, could be in such a state. Just look at this messy cafeteria, with students who seem to have no regard for their environment. It feels more like a public market than a prestigious University," Seulgi expressed, her tone tinged with disappointment, as she surveyed the mess in the cafeteria.
Who wouldn't feel disappointed witnessing a massive cafeteria with trays of half-eaten meals scattered around, crumpled napkins strewn across tables, and chairs carelessly pushed aside? The floor was strewn with empty drink cups and crumpled paper, a clear indication of the students' disregard for cleanliness. It was no surprise that they needed a considerable amount of staff just to keep up with cleaning up after the students.
I couldn't help but shake my head subtly in disappointment as well. Having spent our formative years in primary and secondary schools abroad, this was the first time I had encountered a cafeteria in such a disheveled state.
Without a word, Lisa abruptly walked towards the girl Chanty had indicated.
We followed closely behind her.
"Hey, Miss, are you okay?" Lisa asked gently, standing in front of the girl. She bent her back down to catch a glimpse of the girl's face, who continued to stare down at the floor.
The girl didn't respond and kept her gaze fixed on the ground.
"Why are new students suddenly so bold to interfere in someone's business, huh?" a voice exclaimed loudly.
We lifted our gaze and stared at him blankly.
"Are you not going to change, Mr. Park?" Jennie asked coldly.
I discreetly glanced at her and noticed how her feline eyes bore intimidatingly into the guy covered in tattoos.
I couldn't help but get goosebumps, to be honest. Despite her small stature, she was quite intimidating.
"Oh, hi, Miss It Girl," he said, eyeing Jennie from head to toe.
They all seemed like perverts. Tsk.
In a quick movement, like a flash of lightning, Lisa appeared in front of Jennie, standing protectively as if covering her from the lecherous gaze of the man.
