LISA'S POV
As much as I try to stay out of it, I just can't turn a blind eye. She may not vocalize her emotions, but I caught a glimpse of pain in those precious feline eyes of hers.
Now, if you're questioning my actions — like why I'm currently chasing after a woman, thinking I can handle the situation when, truth be told, we're practically strangers —well, maybe we know each other by name, but on a personal level, we're total strangers. You'd get where I'm coming from if you possessed a little thing called humanity. Whether they're strangers to me or I'm a stranger to them, if I sense they need assistance, I'll always step in without a moment's hesitation.
Jennie stormed off earlier when we ran into Krystal and Hanbin along with the rest of their party list. And now, here I am, playing detective trying to track her down. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack in this massive department building when you have zero clue which way she headed off to.
"Where could she be?" I muttered. It had been a good 10 minutes since I started trailing her.
"This building is massive. It's tough enough trying to find her, let alone when she's so small," I grumbled to myself.
"What the--"
I flinched slightly as a hand firmly tugged on my shirt from behind. I turned around.
"Jennie?"
Why is she giving me the look like she wants to strip me down to my bones?
"Who's small?" she snapped, giving me a death stare.
Geez, what's gotten into her?
"What?" I shot back at her. She tugged on my shirt even tighter, specifically grabbing the bottom side of it.
"I overheard you mention 'small'. Are you talking about me?" she questioned, still shooting daggers at me.
Oh, so that's why she's giving me the evil eye.
She got a fierce glare, but I have to admit, she's pretty cute.
"You're not exactly tall, though," I stated matter-of-factly.
"OUCH! Why'd you do that?" I winced as she pinched my side.
"I didn't ask you to tail me and hunt me down here just so you could nitpick and throw shade at my height?!" she seethed angrily.
Is this her angry face? She's not as intimidating as the rumors from other students suggested. She's more like a little kid throwing a tantrum because she didn't get her favorite toy.
"Why are you giving me that look, huh?" she asked, oozing sass.
Oh...I was so engrossed that I didn't realize I had been staring at her face for so long.
"You're cute when you are mad," I mumbled, unable to tear my eyes away from her, especially her cheeks. They have this adorable puffiness when she talks. I swear they look so soft and fluffy, like marshmallows.
And in case you think those words accidentally slipped out and I'll retract them, think again. I'm not your typical Lisa from those other stories.
