Let's start with a few questions.

Is "inseparable" a GL story?

How about a WxW story?

Why does the squad look like a man here?

Why did you make them look more masculine than feminine?

Here are my answers to those questions.

First, this story is not GL or WxW. And I honestly don't think if you're a woman with manhood you should necessarily stay like a woman, dress like a woman, or act like a woman. The same for the man who's intersex. (Remember "I"- it's based on my perspective)

Second, the squad here is INTERSEX. Take this information I got:

" A woman who is intersex can possess various male traits or physical characteristics typically associated with males. Intersex variations can manifest in different ways, leading to a wide range of physical attributes that may not fit into traditional binary definitions of male or female. Apart from having a penis, intersex women may exhibit other male characteristics such as having XY chromosomes, male-pattern body hair, a more masculine skeletal structure, and even developing male secondary sex characteristics like a deep voice or muscle mass".

I hope this answers why they look like a man (not only because they have a manly haircut but also possess some other physical attributes of a male as well) Based on my experience, I remember before when I was in high school. I watched a real-life story in one of the segments (whatever they call it) on television. A woman who has a penis. She also experiences to have grown facial hair. And possess female attributes such as breasts at the same time.

Third, I hope you understand, that intersex people may identify as female, male, nonbinary, or any other gender that aligns with their sense of self, regardless of their physical characteristics. Now, it still makes sense if I choose the squad here to be masculine rather than feminine.

If you are intersex having a penis is not the only male trait you might have. There are other physical characteristics as well.
Therefore, the fact that the squad appears masculine aligns with my findings. I always conduct thorough research before making any changes to their condition in my story. Perhaps you found it somewhat like it didn't make sense, maybe you're simply not accustomed to this, as I haven't come across any stories featuring intersex characters who express masculinity rather than femininity.
