PRINCIPAL KANG'S POV
FRIDAY, 8:45 pm

"Guide the car to my spot quickly," I told my driver, trying to stay calm, though my hands betrayed a restless energy.

I've got a reason for being here, and it looks like tonight's going to be a long one.

I just got back from the JYP NATION ACADEMY campus, sticking around after the YG Lady Warriors nailed a friendly volleyball match. Now, as the car slides into my parking spot, I sense a load of tasks waiting for me.

As the car slid into my designated parking space, my driver efficiently stepped out, swiftly opening the door. A nod and a quick bow marked our unspoken understanding.

Ignoring the surroundings, I walked briskly. The night had settled over the campus, leaving it quiet except for the occasional presence of janitors and security guards.

As I make my way towards the forest behind the main building, a sense of anticipation fills the air. The path before me is bathed in the warm glow of the campus lights, illuminating my way like a guiding beacon. Each step I take brings me closer to the mysterious allure of the woods, their dark secrets beckoning me forward.

The crunch of fallen leaves under my feet provides a comforting soundtrack, blending with the distant chirping of nocturnal creatures. The cool night breeze rustles through the branches, carrying whispers of the forest's hidden tales. Shadows dance and play, casting intricate patterns on the ground as if they have a story of their own to tell.

As I venture deeper into the woods, the sounds of civilization gradually fade away, replaced by the hushed symphony of nature. The moonlight filters through the leaves, casting an ethereal glow on the forest floor.

As I approached the area, my footsteps slowed to a halt when the glimmer of flashlights caught my attention just a few steps ahead. My hands gripped with anticipation since my journey to the campus, instinctively clenched into tight fists. A wave of frustration washed over me, causing my jaw to tighten and a subtle shake of my head in disbelief. With a determined resolve, I made my way towards them.

It became evident that these individuals, resting comfortably under the shade of a towering tree, were eagerly awaiting my arrival.

"Principal Kang!" one of them called out as soon as they noticed my presence.

Only two figures stood before me, their postures immediately straightening in respect. The other person, silent and solemn, bowed his head in acknowledgment.

My frustration simmered beneath the surface as I whispered a sharp admonishment to them.

"Didn't you receive my clear instructions? Are they too difficult for your brains to process?" The words carried a hint of exasperation, a reflection of the weight I carried as their boss.

With a composed response, one of them spoke up, "We understood every detail of your instructions, Principal Kang. We deliberately chose to wait for you here before proceeding to the underground mansion. We've been here for three hours already. I sent you a message to inform you of our location. We simply want to ensure the premises are clear before we transport the item. We cannot afford a repeat of what happened with the previous engineer."

He gestured towards a large bag positioned beside me, drawing my attention to its presence. I shifted my gaze towards it, feeling a surge of conflicting emotions. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, allowing the air to fill my lungs and calm my frayed nerves. At that moment, I understood the reasoning behind their cautious approach.

In a sudden recollection, the memory of the engineer who preceded Engineer Lee resurfaced in my mind. I couldn't help but reflect on the unfortunate situation - a compassionate soul entangled in the complexities of my business. Almost mockingly, I mused to myself about how he shouldn't have let his benevolent nature interfere with my affairs.
