After class, Irene and I left the campus together, as usual. However, this time, I not only drove her home but also joined her at their mansion because the dinner, which had been repeatedly postponed due to her parents' busy schedules, finally took place. Thus, we had dinner with her parents.
Little did I expect that this evening would be the occasion I'd meet her two cousins. I believe Irene intentionally kept this information from me. I recall her father's previous mention of needing to meet her cousins after granting me permission to court Irene, with a tone that felt somewhat intimidating. Therefore, I assumed that her cousins' presence was meant to test me. Hence, I suspect her father instructed her not to inform me that they would be joining us for dinner tonight.

Currently, I find myself in the poolside cabana with Irene's cousins, as Irene and her parents have matters to discuss following dinner. The two brought me down here to allow the family some privacy.
Before anything else, I'd love to give you a glimpse of the Bae's Mansion, as I've been in awe of it ever since Irene first brought me here.
Their mansion exudes a French Chateau style that evokes a regal palace ambiance. What truly catches my eye are the modern elements integrated into the outdoor spaces, contrasting with the traditional French chateau architecture. The garden, outside bar, and gazebo all exude a modern flair, as does the poolside cabana. While they boast a grand main pool, there are also two smaller pools with accompanying cabanas, adding to the luxurious feel of the estate. The atmosphere of their mansion truly paints a vivid picture of the Bae family's essence. Their mansion gives off a regal aura almost resembling a modern-day monarchy.
As a student engineer with a keen eye for detail and a strong artistic vision, I am truly impressed by the architectural style of their mansion, their interior design selections, the landscaping, and every aspect of it. While a student engineer typically focuses on the technical aspects of construction, I can still appreciate the beauty, innovation, functionality, and craftsmanship that goes into designing mansions.
I'm certain that Jisoo, who is an architecture student, would share the same admiration for this magnificent mansion if she were to see it.
"You know, Kang, it's tough to act like I'm clueless every time we cross paths on campus. Thank goodness, after numerous dinner cancellations, it finally took place tonight. Irene finally introduced me to you!" Joy exclaimed as she opened the wine given by Mr. Bae and poured it into the three wine glasses.
Yes, Joy is one of Irene's cousins.
"Exactly! It's especially tough for me. I'm close to her as well. You can't imagine how hard it is for me to bite my tongue and resist asking her about what's really going on between Baechu and her," Jimin remarked, handing me a glass of wine.
