Chapter 21 - he kissed me

"Is this a hickey?", Luna ask the next day in school, during our lunch break.

"What?", I respond blushing, putting my hair to the front. I am a bit embarrassed.

"Did you and Con made out?", Luna whispers with a smile on her face.

"No", I shake my head: "When James asked me, if I have anything I need advice on, one thing lead to another"

She opens her mouth: "So you made out with James? I thought you two broke up?"

"No, not yet. Not officially. We want to", I stutter: " We go on one last date and next week before we're officially breaking up this fake relationship" I explain to her. It still sounds so stupid to me.

"Why do you seem so bummed about it?", my cousin asks me, as we walk in the school hallways.

"Do I? I mean don't get me wrong, I finally can go on a date on Connor, but it's just weird not having James around. I got so used to it, to him, to us"

"So you still have a crush on Con, or did you catched feelings for someone else?", she grins.

"For James? No. I just liked to hang out with him as a friend!", I say. I guess.

"If you say so!", she smiles. "But you don't kiss a friend for no reason and you don't leave a hickey on someone who is just a friend. Just saying"

"It was just for practice, one last favor", I defend myself unsure who I am trying to convince, her or me?

"If you say so", Luna says, smiling from one ear to another:" Your feelings will tell. I mean James is a great kisser, but the feelings I had when kissing Tris were out of this world."

Kissing James was really breathtaking. Every single time. I never kissed Con, so how could I tell if the kiss with Con would be like Tris & Luna's. He may be a better kisser than James, even though I don't know what else is going to happen, when I already had fireworks explode in my stomach every time James pressed his lips on mine.
