"Alright, I think I have a plan..." I said the next day.

Erin was sitting on the couch and reading an easy chapter book, like I had told her to do when she told me she was bored earlier.

A soft tapping noise came from somewhere. "Stop that." I told her. "Anyways-" the tapping came again. "Ok, stop." I said, already irritated. "As I was saying- STOP DOING THAT!"

"I'm not doing anything!" Erin said and held up her hands defensively. "Why don't you ask that raven at the window?"

"What raven?"

"That one." She pointed to the one, pecking at the glass panes. I opened the window for it and it stuck out its leg so I could untie the letter. I saw the unmistakable Grimlands seal.

"This can't be good." I muttered and split the seal. My eyes scanned the paper quickly. "Uhh..."

"What is it?" Erin asked.

I read it aloud,

"King Scott Major of the Elves,

You are formally invited to the annual meeting of empires. We expect your attendance if not informed of your unfortunate inability to come. The meeting will be located in the Tay mansion on March 7th, 3 p.m. sharp. Weapons are prohibited, and rulers must come alone.

Yours truly,

Count Fwhip Tay and High Wizard Gemini Tay"

"Your right. This isn't good." Erin said. "So...?"

"I think we're going to need to postpone our revenge." I said grimly. "I want to hear what they have to say."

"This could just be a way to contain you...and you have to go alone." Erin said and bit her lip. "Are you sure-"

"I can protect myself. Plus, you'll be in Eastvale in case I need backup." I said.

"What?" she asked in surprise.

"I have a few points I want to make. A few points they might not like." I smirked. "I'll go to their meeting. It might even be fun."

"I'm starting to like this side of you." Erin grinned.
