Rhaenyra

"You are certain that it didn't fall off before the incident?" Rhaenyra asked Alicent. Her heart was beating quicker and quicker as she came to realize what she must do.

"Yes, I know for certain that he took it." Alicent said. She was still sobbing, it looked as if she hadn't stopped since she had left Martyn's chambers. Rhaenyra had to stop and think. Where would the body have landed? She decided that he had to have landed near the entrance to the castle.

"I must retrieve the pin."

"What? Rhaenyra might you just tell your father?" Alicent asked picking her finger nails.

"No, he is busy with my mother. I killed him, I must deal with the evidence." She said taking Alicent's hands and bringing them to her mouth. "None of this was your fault, Alicent." She whispered kissing Alicent's hands. She then brought them down and made sure that Alicent was looking in her eyes "He's gone. I'll never let anything horrible happen to you ever again."

Alicent smiled as Rhaenyra stepped back and pulled on a black cloak. Then without looking back, she spun and walked out of her chambers.

It was dark but Rhaenyra didn't allow herself a candle due to guards swarming the red keep. She could not be caught, firstly, because if they found her out after curfew there was sure to be consequences, and secondly, because she had just murdered a boy.

She was sure her father wouldn't approve of her actions, but he would understand that they were necessary. She doubted the same could be said for the boy's family. And seeing as her father was indisposed of, and the hand was getting along quite well with the Lannisters. She had no choice but to keep silent.

She managed to get to the courtyard without being seen and began searching for a body. Minutes passed and she still hadn't found anything. She looked up and saw the boy's window still agape. Where could it have gone? She groaned as she glanced down at the windows beneath it, and found the boy, hanging by his ankle, off of the windowsill four floors beneath the original window.

She shoved her hands in her face and cursed. Nothing was ever easy for her. She began planning a way to get up to the window. His original window had to be at least a dozen floors high. There was no way for a person to climb that high. But she wasn't a person, she was a Targaryen.

She smirked as she snuck into the dragon pit and turned the corner expecting to find Syrax, instead she ran full force into an enormous guard. He had to be twice the size of her father.

"Princess, what are you doing out this late?" His accent was thick and Rhaenyra could hardly understand him.

"I'm going on a late night fly with Syrax, please step away." She asked attempting to look taller by broadening her shoulders and standing on her toes. It didn't work as intended.

"I have specific orders from the hand of the king to guard this dragon."

"From intruders, not from the owner of the dragon. Step away." She demanded. He held his place.

"I'll give you one more chance, if you do not abide I will be required to report you to my father and have you dealt with. Step away."

He stayed still.

"Syrax!" Rhaenyra called. At first there seemed to be nothing in the black abyss behind the man and then Syrax swung her tail out of the darkness hitting the guard in the head and knocking him unconscious. The dragon stepped over him as she trudged out of the darkness. She yawned and made a screeching sound as she came closer to Rhaenyra. She was gold and when the sun hit her scales it looked as if she were covered in diamonds.

"You're getting quite big!" Rhaenyra said in high valerian scratching behind the dragons jaw. "I'm sorry for not riding you much lately, I'm sure I'll make time later this week." She hadn't ridden Syrax in months, which worried her, but she ultimately decided it would be fine. She stepped behind Syrax's wing and pulled herself up to the saddle.

"Naejot, Syrax!" She called, commanding the dragon to walk forward, gradually gaining speed as they approached the exit. Once they had cleared the door Syrax opened her wings and jumped. Flying was one of Rhaenyra's favorite activities. Yet lately she had enjoyed her time with Alicent so much that she had forgotten how it felt.

The wind whipped at her face, causing her hood to fly off of her head freeing her hair. She took a long deep breath enjoying her freedom, even if it was only for a second before turning her focus to the castle.

"Dohaerās, Syrax!" She tightened her grip on the reins and pulled them to the right. The dragon didn't listen. "Rȳbās!" She screamed at the stubborn dragon, yanking the reins even harder. This time the beast listened and soared down and to the right. Rhaenyra laughed as the dragon flew towards the castle.

The boy was still in the same place she had seen him in earlier. She guided Syrax towards him. They flew as close as they could to the castle before Rhaenyra pulled the reins so hard, Syrax had no choice but to turn sideways. Rhaenyra grabbed the boy as quickly as she could and yanked the reins the opposite way.

They landed in the courtyard and Rhaenyra grabbed the pin out of the boy's trousers. He was gone. It was a quick death; he had been unconscious. She laid him down near the wall. She began to walk away when she remembered Alicent telling her something once: if someone ever died and she was in their presence she should give a prayer. She spun and clasped her hands to together.

"I pray that you find peace." She paused, debating. "And I pray for all of the women that  you have done unspeakable things to. I pray that they find peace in knowing that... you are dead."

She climbed up on Syrax pleased with herself. Smirking as they took off and begun to fly to the dragon pit.

Syrax then turned abruptly, throwing Rhaenyra off of her saddle and hurtling towards the ground.
