Rhaenyra
On this particular day, Rhaenyra was quite happy. She felt better than she had felt in a long time. She tried to not think of Alicent, but at times she couldn't stop herself from longing for her. It always happened when she wasn't expecting it, when she was flying, when she visited her old chambers, when she was struggling to sleep.
She often felt as if kindling had been lit in her insides, warming her when she thought of Alicent. Yet lately the feeling had been much different, more pungent. It crept up on her, hitting her harder than ever each time. She didn't understand it and refused to acknowledge its existence, usually attempting to drive it away with distractions. But late at night, she struggled to keep her mind occupied.
She smiled as she pranced out to the courtyard and hopped in a carriage. She had been to see her mother and her father that morning to be greeted with incredible announcement, her mother was with child. She was normally distraught when her mother announced she was to have a child, yet something felt different this time. She was hopeful. The sky seemed bluer than usual and birdsong rang across the city. She smiled as she remembered Syrax's favorite snack was birds, and she was sure to have an eventful fly.
She stepped out of the carriage to be met by a gust of wind mixed with dirt. She winced and covered her face. This wasn't a good sign, the instructors weren't fond of her flying with Syrax when it was windy. She stepped inside the massive dome shaped structure and set a course for Syrax's cave.
She was surprised to be met with nothing. Syrax had never gone missing before. They rarely even had to chain her in. She groaned as she heard the soft pitter patter of rain echoing through the caves, but there was another noise as well, Syrax's thundering stomps coming from down the hall.
She ran following the noise and found Daemon leading her towards her respective cave.
"Uncle?" She asked in high valerian.
"Rhaenyra! I have found that Syrax has a fondness for Caraxes."
"Why have you come down here? Do you not have duty's as lord commander of the city watch? And what do you mean by fondness?"
"It is a beautiful day! I thought I would just check in with the beasts." He said nonchalantly, annoying her slightly. "Shouldn't you be at the Red Keep with your mother and father? Have you heard the news? I am said to be replaced... again!"
This comment infuriated her, but she decided, after contemplating an argument, to ignore his backhanded statement and attempt to continue the conversation.
"They have other duty's to attend to, but it looks like I shall go back, it seems to be storming outside." She said attempting to end the conversation. She was fond of Daemon, but she couldn't deal with him ruining her mood, which she could sense was already happening.
"When has that ever prevented a good fly?" He said smirking. "Here." He held his fist out which clutched Syrax's reins. "You take Syrax, and I will meet you up there."
She nodded. She loved her uncle; they had a special bond. She didn't particularly want to go flying but she would if he wanted

The fly was miserable. Her face was swollen from the rain droplets hitting it at high speeds, she was soaking wet and shaking and her hair was knotted. She trudged out of the dragon pit burning with anger for Daemon, but mostly for herself. He had met her up there, but only after several long minutes of torture, and after that he brought them circling around kings landing three times.
She scowled at him as she stepped back into her carriage, immediately getting smacked with the scent of wet dragon radiating off of her body.
"Have you heard the news?" Daemon asked in high valerian as he stood at the door.
"Yes, and so have you, we had a brief discussion earlier, remember?" She responded in high valerian.
"No, not about that."
"What then?"
"Your escort is back from her travels."
