Rhaenyra
Rhaenyra's chambers were her third favorite thing, at the moment. The second being Syrax, and the first, Alicent. However her chambers may become her first at any moment. The darkness and silence made her thoughts go quiet. Yet she could only truly escape when she was asleep. It felt good to forget. And at the moment Rhaenyra desperately needed to forget.
As soon as she began slipping out of consciousness she heard the doors to her chamber creak open. She sat up and opened her eyes. The figure was small and she had to strain her eyes to make out who it was but as soon as she did a large weight lifted off of her chest.
"Alicent? What are you doing here at this hour?" She asked, her voice cracking from the disuse. She didn't say anything and quickly set a large book on the cabinet next to Rhaenyra's bed.
"May I wear one of your nightgowns? I desperately need to get out of this dress."
"Certainly, but why must you wear one of mine?" She asked, getting more and more confused by the second.
Alicent paid no attention to her question, only shuffled over to the wardrobe, careful to not hit anything in the dark, and began disrobing. Rhaenyra laid back down and brought the covers to her face, to give Alicent her privacy.
A few minutes later she felt a cold body slip under the covers and curl up behind her.
"Why have you decided to stay here tonight?" Rhaenyra whispered, adjusting her position to face Alicent.
"I cannot talk to my father at the moment, and I know he will pay a visit to my chambers first thing in the morning... and I wanted to spend time with you." She whispered back. She smelled of lavender, Rhaenyra sighed at the familiarity of her. "What?" Alicent asked.
"Nothing." Rhaenyra paused. "I enjoy spending time with you as well." She shifted closer to her. There was only one thing that could distract Rhaenyra better than sleep, and she was here.
"Rhaenyra, I-" Alicent said and then stopped herself.
"Yes?"
"Nothing." She whispered as she gave in to her temptations. She leaned in closer until their lips grazed each other and then met.
The kiss was slow at first, they hadn't actually kissed before this, only pecks. This time it was different, Rhaenyra could feel it, Alicent wanted her closer. She slid her hand over Alicent's waist and moved to the small of her back, just as Alicent had done all those years ago under the weirwood. Then she slid her other arm under Alicent's waist and began pulling her closer.
The kiss began getting sloppier until Rhaenyra slid her tongue into Alicent's mouth by mistake. She quickly pulled away.
"My- My apologies, I don't-"
"It was good." Alicent blurted cutting her off mid sentence.
"What?"
"The tongue... it felt nice." She admitted. Rhaenyra could tell her face was bright red even in the dark. She smiled and then began laughing. And then Alicent began laughing.
Once they had finished with the fit of laughter Rhaenyra laid her forehead on Alicent's.
"Alicent?"
"Yes, princess?" She said causing Rhaenyra to pull back at the formality. "No, It was a jest! What were you going to say?" She scrambled pulling Rhaenyra's head back against her own.
"Might you come again tomorrow?"
"By all means, your majesty!" She giggled. Rhaenyra scowled but it quickly turned into a smile.
She was content, for the first time in years.
