Beneath The Wisteria Comes Sweet Dreams

A/N: With Bakari and Nalini now a week old and everyone recovering. Lumine and Xiao enjoy some quiet time as the rainy season comes to a slow end as a strange tree is discovered. I'll give updates of how old the twins are both on actual age and growth stage until they are a year old but I hope you enjoy the Fungi Tournament Arc~!

Twins' Progress:  1 week old(Jan 17). Has the development of a month old human baby. They regularly try and grab things and are heavily reliant on their parents, Lumine particularly. Mentally they are 5-6yrs old.

Spring was approaching in the air as winter and rainy season months were losing their grips ever so slowly. A solid week had passed since what people had begun to call the Chronos Eclipse and with it had brought many strange mysterious things and changes. The sight of strange but gorgeous felines with peacock-like plumage and fur prowled invisible to the eyes of an unsuspecting vulture. A feral crystal as the pride of felines launched at the startled creature. Lilies colored like a raging fire, their petals cast to swaying in the breeze from something moving at breakneck speed. 

The sharp distressed cry of monsters being destroyed and purged sent a flock of dusk birds flying away in a panic. The only evidence to remain were the shattered masks and a few snow white golden feathers. Over at the beautiful hanging gardens and greenhouse of Pardis Dhyai a lone blonde in her usual favorite snow white and pale blue dress was content and helping her companion, a forest ranger and botanist with tall slender canine ears and a bushy blackish green tail. Not far away her celestial fairy companion was giggling playing a little game of "Where's Paimon?" with the two little twins lying on a quilt not far away.

"How's this, Tighnari?"wondered Lumine after helping him bring in a few of the potted fire colored lilies.

"That should do nicely, thank you Lumine. Before I can figure out where we can plant these new species I need to do some research on them on how we may properly cultivate them."Tighnari smiled while taking some notes. The sound of the week old twins' laughter nearby made his ear twitch. It had astonished him just how fast Lumine's little ones were growing...actually it had surprised everyone but the dendro archon and Candace. It had only been a week and already tiny little Bakari and Nalini had the physical development of a month old human infant.

But it was the twin tiny forest spirits' mental capacity that had taken so many by surprise. Still so new to the world and their minds displaying the intelligence of a five to six year old child. The remaining sages had been astonished but also a bit scared of just how intense the yaksha king's drive for these infants' welfare was. "I'm not surprised, I've known Alatus long enough. It's Lumine's that is the scarier of the two, something tells me."Tighnari thought in amusement. Hearing her yawn however he stopped to look over at his friend.

"Not sleeping too well these days?"he wondered.

"Honestly? No. But I don't mind, Bakari was pretty sick so Xiao and I were rotating looking after him. Being a mom is a lot of work and it's a learning curve but—!?"Lumine gave a tired smile before looking over to where Paimon was now yelping cause Nalini had her by the scarf. "For the love of the Nine Realms, Paimon, what's going on?"

"Eeeekkk!!! Lumine help! Nalini wants to bite Paimon!"Paimon squeaked. "Paimon is not a squeaky toy!!!"

"Gwaahh~!"laughed Nalini giving a stronger tug. Her sleepy brother beside her had a deadpanned look on his face beside her, fidgeting his little wings as he clutched his jackal toy rattle plushie. Did his sister always have to make the loud floaty thingy scream? It hurt his ears and he was tired.

"Oh, Nalini."chuckled Lumine as she got up, dusting off her hands and went over to free poor Paimon. Then traded it for Nalini's favorite toy cat rattle. Something she eagerly accepts. It still amazed her and intrigued her. Bakari and Nalini only recently had developed those unique forehead marks and around the eyes. Nalini's was striking crimson resembling the same star shaped pupils Lumine had with two odd dots she could not remember were called, but Xiao had called them something. Bakari's was a beautiful shade of blue only water could possess, resembling a teardrop with the same symbol dots as his sister but inverted. It was this reason Xiao suspected Nalini and Bakari were the yin and yang of each other; one could not exist without the other. Xiao had also informed their marks that their true forms would appear as they got older.
