Fun Random Facts:
-One of the flowers I associate with Bakari is wisteria as that is what came into existence upon his birth. Wisteria is a flowering willow-like tree that can live for over 100+ years or more. Meanings can vary by color like all flowers but long story short they meant fertile beauty, honor, patience, creativity, spirituality, purity, innocence, & a fresh start. In Buddhism it is a symbol of wisdom, longevity, and endurance. In Japan, wisteria is believed to symbolize good luck, kindness, and love. In Korea it has a very beautiful meaning: a love that transcends death. All of which fit Lumine and Xiao's little boy perfectly both present...and his future. Bakari like his father and mother has a lot of love to give, like Hades and Persephone. His greatest fear is he'll forever be alone...what will he truly? I wonder.
-Eula's first name comes from Scandinavian and Greek roots. It means "Well spoken" or "sweet spoken" depending on which one you pick. Very ironic is it not? She's very sharp with her words and is far from gentle with her words. But that is a outspoken type of "dere" for yeah no? lmao!! But I think it's such a pretty meaning behind her name and fact it has such roots is very...intriguing.
.......................................................................
That had been one hectic little misadventure at the fairgrounds. One most interesting detail was that the area was stuck in some kind of perpetual night. Something Xiao noticed Bakari had flocked to like a duck to water. The twinkling lights and sight of the circus tent the way his son's eyes had come to life with mirth had brought a smile to Xiao's face but also to the girls' own. There they ran into a scholar with dreams to run a carnival fair. But they also discovered Eula's cousin, Lessig had somehow by some weird twist gotten himself stuck inside the tent.
So in they went Eula encouraging both small, young yaksha moon deity and Collei to embrace the limelight. There was no reason to be scared and they should face their fears head on, encouraging them to dance as the stage lights were repaired. Imagine their surprise to see when Bakari danced, the scent of an unknown flower reached their noses but had an odd calming effect. The sparkling mist left behind him as one by one they joined Eula and Bakari. The sight of father and son dancing, Bakari's determined expression as he copied both his father and Eula's dances. However on the way back they got worried as Xiao without warning became unsteady on his feet and would have collapsed had Idyia and Collei not been beside him.
It was strange to witness it was like he had a far off distant look in his usually sharp, piercing gaze. Strange energy fighting against his karmic debt like rippling static making him hiss. Poor Bakari looked frightened and worried as Idyia urged them to go ahead of them. Which left them alone in this moment on the grassy hillside cliff. Idyia gives herself a mental slap to snap herself out of her inner panicking mindset. "Here we are, rest here."she soothed, setting her fellow elemental down in the shade of the tree. It took a moment but soon Xiao came around cradling his throbbing skull.
"Shit...Did I blackout just now?"he grumbled still seeing spots.
"You did, Descendant of Lady Apep and the Yellow Lord. Gave us all a fright you know? You're evolving aren't you? Or what was it the humans call it again ooohhh....Rhodia would have a fit if she knew I didn't pay attention back then....mhhmmmpphhh....."whimpered Idyia instantly starting panic again.
"So you are one of his children the elders told me of then. I think I understand the situation now with clarity."he huffed, closing his eyes. He did not dismiss her inquiry nor deny her prodding question. Evolving? Hmm...could be called that given the children of Apep were always adapting and changing as the eons passed. That old sea dragon being the next adaptable along with its aquatic children of the lakes according to his tribe's old stories. But what in the name of the archons had happened back there!? He had felt fine and even been enjoying himself despite his anxiety of Eula's cousin who had no vision. Then suddenly nothing just sudden darkness and an odd sea of emotions most overwhelming that were not his own or his beloved. Like a crashing wave on the stormy seas he felt like he had been tossed to drown. It had been an...unsettling feeling.
