Twins' Progress: Bakari and Nalini are now 3 Months old(April 10th). They have the physical development of a 5-6 year old human child and all the curiosity and chaos that comes with it. Mentally(and spiritually) they are now 12-13 years old. Their birth element is fully matured and their yaksha tattoos fully formed.
Twins Fun Fact: Why don't I give a fun fact on both twins shall we since are going go see Xiao's salty dragoness grandma queen sovereign? Bakari and Nalini both get called the Wolves of Aaru due to where they were born. They were greatly influenced by Sumeru's environment as well as their genetics. This resulted in their almost Simurgh/Griffin wolf-like appearances I showed off previously. Both twins have earned names among Sumeru's people as a result of their births.
Bakari gets called "Lord Khonsu" by the people and is seen as a usually benevolent deity healing and guiding the lost souls. In Egyptian myths Khonsu is the moon god that protected people traveling at night, even healing the sick and helping new life to be conceived. Khonsu ironically means "Traveler." Bakari's name means "Noble Oath" in Egyptian.
Nalini gets called Lady Ophois by the Sumerians. She is the one they turn to when conflict draws near or the time for a great hunt for the harvest draws in. She gets seen as a Goddess of War, Verdure, & The Hunt. In Egyptian Mythology Ophios is another name for Anubis's brother, Wepwawet the wolf deity of war that would open up the path. Nalini's name means "Sweet Lotus" in Sanskrit.
It was just another early morning as spring was slowly starting to show signs of creeping like a serpent into summer. The dry season in Sumeru was hitting full swing as the city hustle and bustle about preparing for a grand celebration that only happened every decade or so: The Wisdom Gala. At the insistence of little Nalini and Bakari both Lumine and Xiao with Paimon in tow were heading for the city gate. The little deities of the sun and moon had looks of eager delight as Bakari struggled a bit to keep up with his more energetic sister.
"Nalini don't leave me, mommy, and daddy behind!"he called.
"Nalini slow down or you'll crash and trip into somebody."scolded Xiao while Lumine just giggled, shaking her head softly as she crossed her arms. Their daughter, such a firecracker full of chaotic energy.
"I'm fine, stop worrying."assured the ebony haired yakshini child.
"Every time you tell us not to worry is when I worry most, Nalini."sighed Xiao.
Sure enough little Nalini not watching where she was going ended up crashing into a small but older female. The high pitched childish grunts from them both as the guard panicked along with the tiny family. "Owie..."whimpered Nalini. A quick catch of a scent of verdant trees caught Nalini's attention as her mother helped her to her feet. Sure enough dusting herself off after getting up was Nahida.
