Arriving in the nick of time Xiao and lumine stop her as they jump into action to cure Mother Nature herself. Apep's words cast a dark shadow over Nahida's future. I hope you enjoy the song for Apep and the Yaksha Tribe.

Fun Facts:
-King of the Dragons, Nibelung's name is German and means roughly "Creature of the Mist" if I recall correctly. The name also hints towards the dragon wrapped and caged around the world tree's roots, biting and knawing on said roots. This dragon was named "Nidhogg" and said to escape come Ragnarök. *stares nervously at Nahida*
-It also applies to a string of old German plays that inspired Lord of the Rings known as "Ring of the Nebelung." this story follows two lovers and a cursed ring.

The ordeal with the geo lifeform had been an odd one. The sight and revelations they had learned from it and about Bakari as well. Bakari's strange immunity was this something he inherited from his mother? Nahida believed so. But Paimon had started calling these sides of the little moon deity as White Bakari and Black Bakari. But Bakari's stunt, while it had innocent, good intentions, was very dangerous. Especially since their song was half yaksha...and a water yaksha nature spirit at that. So how was the small family supposed to know their son was immune to the influences of the abyssal Void and the forbidden knowledge!?

Not once had that possibility ever crossed Lumine and Xiao's minds. This kind of action they had expected from Nalini, their wayward daughter not their obedient well mannered son. This changed a lot of things. Was it due to him being the reincarnated moon god they kept hearing about? Seems possible. So as they dropped Bakari back off with one angry and frustrated exharbinger telling Kuroneko he was banned from the festivities they soon left.

It had not taken long to reach the desert as strong gale began to stir up a sandstorm. The group shielding their eyes. The ground was quaking and shaking as the mighty dragoness had sensed them. From the shadows smoldering eyes had spotted them as a forked tongue flicked out black as night. The agony she felt as she struggled just to move let alone breath properly was not evident by her trespassers. One scent she knew well: The daughter of the Goddess of Life, Gaia and one of her children. An accursed union with the shadow of that wretched falling star from the heavens.

Her eyes grew wide as she smelled another scent...it was a yaksha, a descendant of that golden roc. But his scent was warped for she smelled the stench of that damn shadow. "ISHTAR!!!"she thought in fury. "So taking my lands wasn't enough, you taint my bloodline!?"she thought with a hiss picking up the pace as she made way to cut off their advances. But getting closer there was one scent that confused her. The scent smelled human...but not? It was like trying to see in a fog with how unclear the smell was. But in this scent was a heavy scent of her little wind yaksha spirit. As the dust cleared enough to reveal her massive form their tiny form stared in a mixture of expressions, her elegant and giant form commanding.

"We found her, the Dendro Sovereign Lord...Apep."observed Nahida as she gazed up at the ancient elemental creature.

"Oh my...archons...I heard stories but I didn't think she was this huge."Xiao's voice had actually hitch anxiously in his throat at the sight. He rarely ever got scared but this was giving him bad memories of Osial and Beisht, his hands actually trembling as he could not look away. Her gaze was paralyzing.

"By the nine realms...that's one big snake."gulped Lumine, sharing in her partner's anxiety. "She makes Dvalin look like a kitten!!!" For Lumine though there was a split moment of a sudden headache. An odd memory flashing across her mind's vision...

..."Are you sure about this?"asked a blurry image of a beautiful woman with eyes a bright golden green. A small infant with silver ombre hair that faded to green and elven ears of her mother fussing in her stoic father, a dendro yaksha's arms. The goddess's flower-like pupils looked sadly at the blurred blonde figure with long hair.
