A/N: Caribert meets a unknown possibly tragic end as Eide reveals his real identity, leaving Lumine with a frightening and ominous revaluation; Dainslief, Xiao, and Solis finally get through. However it seems somebody the least desired has now discovered Lumine.

Fun Trivia: Wonder how many of yeah had jaws on the ground on the mirror scene *chuckles* I know I did. You see in writing, film, and yes even video games mirrors are symbolic. A cracked mirror can reflection can show insanity or something not being whole/broken. In mythology there are many powerful mirrors. If you ever watch Asian dramas(ex: chinese) these powerful mirrors that can show your past lives and even your fates can show up are very popular. One such mirror in Chinese mythology I recent found out about is the Neih-ching-t'ai, a mirror from the Chinese underworld used to help see your past lives and afterwards judgement is made by the Yama King. It is extremally fascinating. Mirrors are common tools in fiction as a means to reveal hidden truths amongst the lies.

Quick as a wink Lumine and Eide had rushed back to the house on the hill to find Caribert safe and sound. Lumine smiled in relief as Eide showed the same relief that his son was safe and sound. But what had happened next had left Lumine's jaw on the floor: Caribert regained his mind. Unfortunately that also resulted in the poor child panicking and Eide and Lumine having to calm the boy down. 

Cariberts words of his experience left an eerie sense of familiarity in Lumine's mouth. She had experienced something similar but it had been no dream...but an endless nightmare with no end. Five hundred years worth of nightmares, half a millenia worth of falling and being left all alone. To the point it had left its scars even now as she shivered clutching her arm and biting her lip nervously. It was a few minutes later when Eide had stepped outside of the house for a moment leaving Lumine alone with young Caribert. "I know that must have been so frightening, have you calmed down now?"Lumine wondered as she sat down beside him. The little hilichurl nodded slowly.

"Y-Yes it was very scary...people were running and screaming and I got separated from mama. But papa found me then i remember nothing afterwards. I was so scared!"whimpered the child. But his demeanor instantly brightened. "Are you also stuck in this fairy tale world like me and papa? Do you have any family?"

Lumine just smiled sadly at the innocent question as she patted Caribert on the head offering him an apple to eat. Some he gladly accepted with a delighted giggled enjoying the treat. "Yes, I have a twin sibling but we got separated by the scary monsters too. Me and a friend were looking for them before I met your papa."

"Oh I am sorry...I hope you find them. I'm Caribert, pleased to meet you."he greeted.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too."agreed Lumine.

"Traveler, can you come out please?"came Eide's voice from outside.

"Be right there, Eide!"Lumine called. Before turning to Caribert. "Now Caribert remember to do as your father said and don't remove your mask, ok?" Caribert nodded in understanding, earning a bright smile from Lumine before she left for the field. The two chatted a while under the moonlight, pale and much more dull than what she was used to seeing.

Wait...the moon was dull!? Something was not adding up here as she reluctantly followed after Eide who was dead set on offering praise to the mystery entity that had talked using the crystal. "Something doesn't feel right. The moon has always been much more vivid and bright since Vesperus was born...but it's dull now, something not right."she thought in worry. But she was shaken from her musings as to their stunned horror the crystal was gone. Just poof, gone vanished like the morning mist never to be seen again without a single trace...chains and all.
