Maybe speeding wasn't in my best interest. I couldn't quite save the kids if I got arrested but I had to make sure they were okay. My knuckles turned white as I gripped tightly onto my steering wheel, tears obstructing my vision.
Some clarity was found when I figured out where they were. Although it all went down the drain, knowing William Afton, of all people, had them.
Making my way to the building, everything seemed the way it had been last time. Though I knew shit was about to hit the fan for real, sending unease up my whole body. And especially because I knew I'd be facing him alone, making it much worse.
I walked up to the door, noticing it had been unlocked. My sweaty palms slowly opened the door, trying not to draw attention to myself. If I could sneak in, find the kids, and escape, then mission accomplished.
The building felt much more ominous than usual. Especially not having Mike's help put me at a terrible disadvantage. I had zero idea of what this encounter could entail, but as long as the kids were okay, I didn't care if I made it out dead or alive.
I looked around, trying my best to see if they had been out in the open, but that would've been too easy. I begrudgingly make my way more and more into the building. My heart raced more and more the further I walked.
"Hello? Maisie? Cassie? Gregory?" I called out, but to no surprise, there was no response. The only thing I could hear was the sound of my steps echoing throughout the building.
Something suddenly slammed into my body hard, causing me to fall forward. The pain spreads throughout my body, causing me to scream and cry in pain. I roll onto my back to see a disheveled golden rabbit staring back at me. An animatronic Mike and I never encountered.
"This is gonna be so much fun." The robot says, its voice sounding more mechanical than I would've expected. I shuffle backward trying to escape, but it easily catches up to me.
"Where are they?! What are you?!" I scream.
"Oh [Y/N], you thought it would be that easy?" My eyes widened in horror realizing it had been William inside the suit. He takes the mask off, confirming what I now knew. "Now let's have a little chat, you and I."
"I have nothing to say to you." I growl, trying to sound tougher than I actually had been. On the inside, my heart raced with fear.
He takes a step closer to me. "Oh, but you will. You see, you and Michael are in some hot shit right now." He chuckles eerily sending chills up your spine.
I glare at him furrowing my eyebrows. "What are you talking about?"
"You got the police involved. They've been investigating me, and the restaurant." He steps even closer. I shuffle backward.
Oh yeah. Forgot about that one. Shit.
"And that's our fault because? You're the one who killed a bunch of little kids!" I remark. He looks at me angrily.
"You are so irritating." He says sounding annoyed.
I roll my eyes. "You're not exactly a pleasure to be around either."
"Where is Michael?" He growls. At this point, I was starting to get scared. I didn't have Mike by my side.
"Tell me where the kids are and maybe I'll tell you where Mike is." I say trying to possibly get some information out of him. He instead just tilts his head glaring at me.
"You think this is some game, don't you?
In a way, he was right. I had to remember to keep my cool. He had the high ground in this situation. And he could easily take it out on the kids. And he probably would.
Deep breaths. Calm down [Y/N].
"Tell me where he is. Now." He demands stepping even closer.
"He's with Henry," I confess. I could see such hatred in his eyes as soon as I mentioned Henry. "He wasn't with me. I didn't tell him."
"Of course, he's with Henry," I could detect a hint of jealousy in his voice. It honestly sounded juvenile, there wasn't a good reason to be jealous of Henry.
But knowing William, there was every reason to be jealous of Henry. Because Henry was actually a good person. Unlike him.
"What do you want with my sister and her friends? They have nothing to do with this." I ask out of desperation.
"Oh, they were just a means to get the two of you here. But that doesn't mean I don't have plans for them."
"Then what do you want? I don't understand— They're kids!" I could feel myself starting to cry. I was trying to be strong, but I was terrified. If I made one wrong move, he could hurt the kids. "How do you even know I have a sister? And how did you find her?"
That's when it hit me: The noise I heard while eating dinner. He followed us to my parents house.
And I led him right to them.
"You followed us! You're a stalker!" I gasp in realization. I felt sick to my stomach.
"Took you that long to realize." He smirks. "I thought you were smarter than that." He chuckles. I could feel myself trembling even more than before.
"Oh my god!" I was admittedly freaking out now. It was one thing for me to be affected, but my family was a different story. I couldn't let them get hurt, I would never be able to forgive myself.
"There isn't much we can do without Michael here anyways."
Without warning, he grabs my shoulders, slamming my body into a wall. I tried my hardest to fight back as I begged him to stop. I tried fighting to stay awake, but it was useless. My body had been in too much pain, I had been weak. My eyes slowly flutter shut, barely able to handle the pain. Loud ringing rang throughout my throbbing head.
"We'll talk later."
Then everything went black.
