hii im back again. how is everyone doing i missed yall :)

I felt a weight shifting under me, waking me up. I could feel Mike slowly moving from under me.

"Don't leave yet," I mumble, barely even conscious. I weakly grab onto his arm, trying to keep him from leaving.

"I have to pee." He says, his voice sounding rough from him just waking up.

"Ugh fine," I groan rolling over and letting him get up.

He looms over at me smiling, pushing the hair out of my face. He makes eye contact with my tired eyes. "I'll come back I promise." I hazily smile back at him acknowledging what he said.

He then walks away leaving me alone. Too tired to stay awake, I end up falling asleep before he even gets back.

"Good morning sunshine," Mike smiles as I walk into the kitchen. I looked over at the stove clock, seeing it had been almost 11 o'clock.

"Don't talk to me until I've had coffee," I groan, brewing a pot of coffee. If I wasn't as tired, I would've been more reactive to the pet name.

He looks over at me laughing. "We weren't up thaaat late."

"I like my beauty sleep," I mumble scratching the nape of my neck. "And besides we got home pretty late."

"We used to work the night shift together but that was too late for you?" He asks which in my defense had been a great point.

"Coffee works miracles what can I say?" I smile watching Mike chuckle. "Oh, and the insane adrenaline rush."

He chuckles, then changes the subject. "So Henry actually called and he needed my help with a project. You wouldn't mind if I went over there, would you?"

A look of confusion shot across my face."Why would I? I love Henry."

"Fair point. You don't need anything while I'm out, do you?" He asks putting his jacket on.

I think for a moment before realizing I was content for now. "I think I should be good. I'll call Henry if I think of something though."

"Good call. I shouldn't be gone too long." He says. "See you later then?"

"Yeah sounds good."

"See you later babe." He smiles kissing the top of my head. I smile at the pet name.

With Mike being out of the house I decided to get some cleaning done. About 45 minutes into my cleaning I hear a knock on the door. I stop what I'm doing, opening the door to see Jess.

"Hey neighbor," She smiles walking in, distracting me from my previous cleaning.

"Hey, Jess." I greet. "How have you been? It's been a minute since we've talked." I ask. We hadn't seen each other in a while so it was nice to just catch up.

"I'm good, great, actually." Her eyebrows upturned, and I could tell she was curious about something. "So you and Mike? I heard you two come home pretty late yesterday."

I knew she had ulterior motives for coming here.

"We're official." I smile happy to finally say the words out loud.

"I'm so happy for you!" She smiles pulling me into a hug. "Especially after what happened with Tommy, you deserve this."

"Oh God, I totally forgot about that," I recall. In my defense, my life had been nothing but chaos since. Remembering him stung a little bit but things couldn't have worked out better. "But yeah, what a douchebag."
