[y/n]'s pov
Today marks the day that I finally get to start my new job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. I had recently gotten fired from my last job, leaving me to find a new job. I looked in the mirror as I fixed my hair, contemplating everything that could possibly go wrong. I can't deny that I would have picked any other job over this, considering how late the hours were.
"Hey, where are you going so late dressed like that?" Jess, my neighbor, asked, peaking out of her door. "My new job at Freddy's" I sighed, already feeling the tiredness hit me. How would I be able to do this for 6 hours?
"You should be careful, there's been reports of missing people there" She cautioned. I looked back at her, curious as to what she was talking about. "Missing people? How? It's a children's restaurant" I joked, realizing the irony in the situation.
"Just be careful, please?" She begged me. "I will, don't worry" I consoled, noticing she was very nervous for me.
"I'll see you later, okay?" I smiled, and she nodded in response.
I walked down to my car, looking up at the clear skies. There was no people, no distractions, it felt peaceful. It's a shame I would be stuck in a building for 6 hours.
I walked into the office to see a guy, looking at the desktop monitor. He looked up at me and smiled. "Oh hey, I'm Michael your co worker" He smiled, as I sat in the chair next to him. "I didn't know I would be working with anyone else" I nervously chuckled.
"Yeah, there's something you should probably know before our shift starts" Michael sighed, seeming serious. I assumed it was something about the missing children incident. "I know about the missing kids," I muttered.
"No, no this is something else" He clarified, looking nervous "The animatronics, they walk around at night, and they'll try to kill us" "Okay funny prank Michael' I chuckled. He looked at me deadpan. "No, I'm serious" He said, looking into my eyes.
"Wait, you're being serious?" I asked. "Yes, that's why they were hiring another night guard," He confessed. "So, they hired me knowing that I could get killed?" I gasped. He nodded almost instantly.
"That's fucked up" I responded, being truthful. He nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry you had to be dragged into this" He sighed. "It's not your fault, but I'm probably gonna quit, and you probably should too" I responded.
"I can't quit" Michael sighed, looking down.
"Why not?" I asked, letting my curiosity take over.
"I have unfinished business here" He sighed. I was confused by what that meant.
"Unfinished business? What?" I questioned. "Nothing important" He shrugged it off.
"So what brings you here anyways?" He asked, quickly changing the subject. "Well, I got fired from my other job," I chuckled. "And Mr. Emily was kind enough to hire me, after I told him what happened"
"Yeah, Henry's a really good guy" Michael smiled. "He's been there for me when I needed it"
Suddenly the phone started ringing, and it startled both of us. It must be the start of our shift.
"Do we answer it?" I asked, noticing it was still ringing. "It's an automated message, and besides we won't really have time to answer it" He said, sounding more serious.
I decided it would be worth a listen, considering if what Michael said was true, I didn't wanna die.
