The sun shone in my bedroom, waking me from my sleep. My bones cracked as I sat up. Taking a deep breath, my feet hit the cold wood flooring. I get a glimpse of myself in my bedroom mirror. My hair was tangled and dark circles surrounded my eyes.

My mind immediately thinks of last night and how stressful it was. I really didn't want to go back to Freddy's, but I couldn't leave Michael by himself. Looking away from the mirror, I decided to see if Michael was up. It must've been some time during the afternoon by now.

"Morning [y/n]," Michael greeted me from the couch. I look over to see him watching some show I hadn't been familiar with.

"Morning," I sigh, taking a seat next to him. "You doing okay after last night?"

"Not really, it's just all stressing me out. I don't know what to do." He sighs.

"Hey, we'll figure it out" I reassure him.

"Hopefully, you're right" He smiles, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"So whatcha watching?" I ask changing the subject.

"The Immortal and The Restless," He chuckles. "I'm obsessed with it."

"Hmm maybe I'll have to watch it," I chuckle.

Suddenly my landline starts ringing, interrupting our conversation. I quickly answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Tommy Anderson, you know from high school?"

"Oh hey, what's up?" I asked.

I was honestly confused that he was calling me, considering we weren't even friends in high school. He was a popular kid, while I mainly kept to myself.

"Well I've been thinking about you, and Jess gave me your number. I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me tonight?" He asked.

Of course, Jess gave my number to him, she always wants the best for me.

"I- Wow. Are you sure?" I ask, not even hiding my shock.

"Well, that's why I'm asking you" He chuckled.

"You know what sure, I'll go" I say.

"Does that new restaurant that just opened up work? I've always wanted to try it" He asks.

"Wow that's a really fancy restaurant, are you sure?" I question.

"Of course, the bill's on me"

"No, no I'll pay for my own meal, you know feminism after all?" I chuckle. "Is 7 a good time? Since I work the graveyard shift and all"

"You're funny, I'll see you then" He says, then hanging up.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited about tonight's date. I could feel myself blushing. I felt like I was in high school again, kicking my feet on my bed.

"What was that all about?" Michael asks, walking back into the living room.

"I got a date tonight," I reply, smiling from ear to ear.

"Wow, you're a player," He laughed.

"Not true! He called me first!" I laughed playfully punching his arm.

"Damn okay!" He laughs, rubbing where I punched him. "You better be back for work."

"Yeah, yeah," I smile. "Don't worry I won't leave you to the wolves."

I had to dress up nicer than usual since this was a fancy restaurant. It wasn't my style but hey, the food might be good.

I did my makeup and hair nicer than usual. I was never too focused on my appearance, but I was feeling it tonight.
