Tzuyu immediately went to open the door to their condominium unit when she heard the doorbell ring.
"Where is she?" Jihyo immediately asks as soon as she gets a glimpse of the cheer captain.
"In the bedroom." Tzuyu closes the door and follows the council president who goes straight to the unit's room. "She has been sulking there since I arrived here about two to three hours ago. I did not enter the room yet because when I asked if I could come in, she yelled and just told me to go away. I can hear just from her voice that she is not in a good condition."
"Did you contact Chaeyoung?"
"Yeah. I also called her right after I talked to you earlier. She's on her way to our place now."
Jihyo simply nods. She then turns to face the currently shut door of the unit's bedroom in front of her. She softly knocks three times. "Nayeon? It's me, Jihyo."
The two girls knowingly looked at each other after hearing no reply from the other side of the door.
After about two minutes, the council president decided to speak again. "Nayeon? Tzuyu and I are entering now, okay?"
Jihyo waited for another five seconds in the hopes that there would be a response this time, but still no reply from the girl on the other side of the room. She then turns the door's knob and slowly opens it. She carefully stepped inside, scanning the area.
To the two girls' surprise, no one is inside.
"Is she in the bathroom?" Tzuyu comments as soon as she notices that her sister is nowhere to be found. She quickly treads towards the comfort room's direction. She didn't even bother knocking, she just quickly opened the door to it, finding no one again.
"Oh my, gosh. Where is she—" Jihyo's face instantly frowned in worry. "The balcony!"
Both of the girls almost ran towards the direction of the room's access to the unit's balcony. As soon as they moved the curtains away, their faces almost welled in tears at the sight they witnessed.
There is the soccer manager, sitting on the balcony floor. She is hugging her knees with her forehead right above her knees. There are a couple of empty bottles of soju everywhere and a heap of crumpled tissue papers.
"Na— Nayeon Unnie?" Tzuyu softly tried to call her out. She and Jihyo are flatly standing on the door's frame.
Nayeon wasn't moving. There was absolutely no response from her, not even a simple or weak hum.
"Hey, Chou Nayeon!" The council president then also tried calling her out with a louder and demanding voice.
This time, the soccer manager sluggishly moved her head to look at the direction of the two other girls. She squints at the figures on the balcony's door frame. Oddly enough, she was sure that it was Jihyo's voice but what she is seeing right now are just blurry images like she is in a dreamy scene she can't comprehend. She shifts on her position as she decides to stand up. But before she could do it, everything in her vision went black.
"NAYEON!" The girls yelled in unison as their legs automatically moved to the direction of the soccer manager's falling body.
"Tzuyu, call an ambulance!"
The cheer captain immediately takes her phone out and dials a number.
Jihyo is cradling the unconscious body of her friend, trying her best to look tough and hold back her tears.
After about an hour, Jihyo and Tzuyu are now seen anxiously pacing outside of a hospital room in a private hospital. Then, a doctor slowly steps out of the room where Nayeon was admitted. The two girls promptly moved to face him.
"Doc! How's my sister?"
The doctor smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry. Ms. Chou Nayeon is fine. We just did some tests on her to make sure that nothing bad happened to her vitals when she fell to the floor. All the results returned were good. Where is Mr. Chou by the way?"
Tzuyu started explaining. "Dad is in a different city right now due to a client meeting. Nonetheless, he told me that he will cancel all his appointments for the rest of the day and travel back here as soon as possible."
"Why did she faint, Doc?" Jihyo curiously asks. "What happened?"
"There was a sudden drop in her blood pressure. Was she not eating right or not getting enough sleep nowadays?"
"I..." The younger sister hesitatingly answers. "I think that may be the case for her these past few days."
"Then you better make sure that she eats green leafy vegetables from now on. Don't let her skip meals. If possible, tell her to drink vitamins. And her sleep should be—"
The doctor was cut off when heavy footsteps were heard from the hallways. It was getting louder every second as a tall girl was seen furiously running to them.
Jihyo squints a bit at the nearing figure. "Isn't that Nayeon's girlfriend?"
"Yeah. That's Jeongyeon Unnie." Tzuyu confirms. "After I informed dad, I tried calling her phone again which was unfortunately still turned off. I wanted her to know Nayeon Unnie's state so I left a voice message on her house's landline."
"I see." Jihyo glances at the cheer captain. "You also told Chaeyoung, haven't you?"
"Yep. I also left her a message. She was already at our unit's building lobby though, so she's taking another ride to get here."
"WHERE IS SHE?" The council treasurer demands as soon as she is earshot on the hallway. She is still about a few meters away from the three other persons standing in the hallway, but anyone can clearly tell that she is panting really hard. She is just wearing an oversized hoodie, plain shorts, and slippers, looking straight out of the bed.
Tzuyu points to the room to their side. "Nayeon Unnie is inside the—"
The cheer captain wasn't even able to finish her sentence because Jeongyeon immediately walked and opened the door to the room where she was pointing at.
The council treasurer was obviously in haste but she still managed to carefully enter the place, making sure no unnecessary noise was made.
"I'm guessing... that's her lover?" The doctor asks in a smile while pointing to the door behind him that just closed.
Jihyo and Tzuyu both flashed a smile and simply nodded to him in response.
