"Chaeng." Mina calls out while she taps some buttons on the vending machine.

"Hmm?"

"Umm..." The council president hesitates for a second with what she was about to say. However, she pushes with her statement eventually. "Do you want me to avoid him? Bambam, I mean."

"Ahh." Chaeyoung looks to the floor and contemplates for a moment. "Hmm..."

Mina just glances at the smaller girl, a bit nervous with what she was about to hear in response.

"Hmm. Hmm. Hmm." The soccer ace then looks up to the cafeteria's ceiling. "Do I want to...?" She then looks at the other girl who is now getting the drink that the machine has just rolled down on its flappy opening. "Yes. I would love that."

The council president lets out a sigh, looks down, and nods slowly. "I see."

"But..." Chaeyoung trails her sentence, making Mina stare at her. "I don't think asking you to do that would be the right thing to do. That's just downright immature, Minari. And I'm not that type of person. I may be aggressively showing him that you're mine, but—"

Mina stifles a gummy smile. "It's kind of weird hearing that from you."

"Which?"

"That I'm yours."

"Why?" The soccer ace looks at her with an unreadable expression. She slowly walks towards the council president and stops right in front of the latter. Chaeyoung speaks awfully close to Mina's lips, literally breathing onto it. "Do you not like it?"

The council president glances at the smaller girl's lips. "You know that's not what I meant."

"No. I don't know what you meant. Tell me."

Mina suddenly smiles widely. She raises her arm and was about to push the other girl backwards when Chaeyoung caught her arm, all the while not breaking her serious gaze on the council president.

"Chaeng—"

"Do I always look like I'm joking, Minari?"

"That— Hey, I—" Mina slowly retrieves her arm to her side, gluing her eyes to the floor in a sudden mini panic. "I was— That's not—"

"Minari." The soccer ace holds the council president's chin, gently guiding the other girl to directly face her. "Look at me."

"Hm— Hmm?"

Chaeyoung looks deeply into Mina's eyes, sensually sliding her arm onto the latter's waist in the process. "I'm keeping you by my side and I will make sure to do my best everyday to make it stay that way. Understood?"

The council president gulps, beginning to get lost with the soccer ace's intense stare. "Chaeng..."

"Please tell me if you're okay with that."

"I'm—" Mina glances at Chaeyoung's lips. "You know that I'm fully okay with that."

The soccer ace flashes a satisfied grin, carefully not breaking her gaze she is holding Mina captive for a while now. She swiftly leans in further to place her lips over Mina.

The two girls shared a sweet, lingering chaste kiss which lasted for a couple of seconds.

Then, the soccer ace pulls back and shifts her voice into something that is laced with worry and sincerity. "Minari, I want to trust you. I am choosing to trust you. So don't you dare break that or take that for granted, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am." Mina flashes a proud smile. "And I thank you for that trust, Chaeng. I promise that I won't disappoint you..." This time she is the one who leans in to whisper onto the smaller girl's ears. "My baby cub."

"Ugh. Seriously, Myoi Mina—"

Chaeyoung who was surely aiming to kiss again the council president miserably failed when Mina swiftly raises a canned strawberry milk in front of her, having the smaller girl kiss the beverage instead.

"Here." The council president bursts into laughter. "It has been on my hand for a while now and that one's ice cold I'm telling you."

"That I agree." The soccer ace rolls her eyes. She promptly gets it in a chuckle. "My lips felt numb for a moment there."

The council president began pressing some buttons again on the vending machine. "But... Chaeng."

"Hmm?"

Mina halts her actions to give the soccer girl a look. "I don't want to do the things that would make you feel bad. So, please be vocal when you don't like what I'm doing, okay? The last thing I want to do is to unconsciously hurt you."

Chaeyoung automatically draws a wide smile to her face. She looks back dearly at the girl in front of her like she was in some kind of a dream. "Why do I have to be so lucky, huh? You're so perfect, Minari. I love you so much."

"What—" Mina quickly looks away and gets back to the buttons of the vending machine. Her cheeks now have a faint tint of red on it. "Why do you have to be so casual in saying those things? You— AH— No! Wait— Argh."

The soccer ace chuckles at her. "Why? What happened?"

"I pushed the wrong button! I wanted milk chocolate! Now, I'm just getting hot milk." The council president rolled her eyes. She consecutively squints at the smaller girl. "This is all your fault, Son Chaeyoung."

"Why—" Chaeyoung continued to laugh and tried to sound innocent. "How is that my fault? Hey. Blaming others for your own clumsiness is not a good virtue, Myoi Mina."

"Tsk." Mina reaches out for her hot beverage from the opening of the machine. "This wasn't what I was craving for."

"Hey, hey, hey." The soccer ace looks at her and widely grins. "I can drink that. Do you want me to get milk chocolate and give it to you?"

They both stared at each in silence for a moment before the council president let out a sigh.

"Next time, Chaeng. I'll drink this for now." Mina took a sip from her drink and started walking towards the exit of the cafeteria.

Chaeyoung promptly paced beside her and matched her slow strides with a smirk on her face. "Does that mean we're having another late night cafeteria date?"

The council president scoffs. "Whatever you want to call it, Chaeng."

The soccer girl replies in a rather unfazed tone. She flashes a playful smirk as she reaches out to hold Mina's hand. "It's okay. I've scored a kiss today so there's no way you're going to bring me down with that attitude."

"Ugh." Mina just rolled her eyes and shook her head furiously in teasing. "I'm taking a note to myself to not always give you what you want."

Chaeyoung loudly laughs at her in response while interlocking the hand that is now warmly holding hers, walking as slowly as possible towards the junior dormitories.
