"Oh! That's the person I want to see!" Sana cheerfully declares, finding Tzuyu in the middle of a noisy crowd of about ten people in the school's lounge area. Then, she squinted at the younger girl's direction who started laughing out loud with all the people around her. She raises an eyebrow while watching them. "With... a lot of other people I don't want to see."
"Sana..." Jihyo promptly chuckles at her. "She might not have told you this but... Tzuyu is actually some kind of an idol here in our school."
"Hmm..." The vice president slowly nods while still squinting at the group of students in the lounge. "I see."
"Well, being a cheer captain may be one thing. But, being a tall, pretty, talented, and smart cheer captain is on a whole lot another level." The council president awkwardly smiles, not sure of what is going through Sana's mind as the said girl stays silent, still squinting at Tzuyu's direction. "Should... we go and approach—"
"I think we should." The cheer captain quickly answers the other girl's unfinished invitation and immediately walks towards Tzuyu.
As soon as Sana was about a meter away, the younger girl sees her and promptly stands up on her feet. "Sa— Sana! What— what are you doing here?"
Everyone in the group suddenly went silent, giving each other a knowing look as they watched Tzuyu walk to get to the side of the girl who was wearing another university's uniform.
The vice president gives each of the students on the lounge chairs a polite smile.
"Hey, Tzuyu." Jihyo pays the cheer captain a look, then waves to the other people in the group. "Hello, everyone."
The students casually responded back to their council president in an almost orchestrated choral of different responses.
"Hi, Pres!"
"Yo, Jihyo!"
"Hello, Ms. Park!"
"Umm— Sa— Sana." Tzuyu continued to speak in her normal voice, thus she is clearly overheard by everyone else in close proximity. "What— What are you doing here in our school?"
"I just had to pick up some papers and receipts from Jihyo for the upcoming leadership camp."
"Ahh. I see. Are you... heading out now?" The younger girl curiously asks. "Are you going back to your dorms?"
"Yeah." Sana faintly smiles at her. "I think I was about to do that."
"Umm..." Tzuyu started fiddling with her fingers. "My last class was canceled so I have free time right now. I— If you want I— I can drive you back to your school. If— Of course, that is only if you want me to."
A student from the crowd suddenly whistles in teasing. "Wait. Did I just hear it right? The great Chou Tzuyu is stuttering?"
Another student chimes in with a wide smile. "Now, this is one of those things that we just first witnessed."
Sana and Jihyo were just silently watching them.
"Ugh." The young cheer captain rolls her eyes and glares at them. "Don't you all have nothing else better to do than eavesdropping?"
"Woah. Not our fault." One of the kids from the group comments, chuckling a bit. "You were talking— or rather stuttering right beside us."
Tzuyu just rolled her eyes at them one more time. Then, she turns back to Sana, immediately shifting back to her shy self. "So? Do— do I get a yes? Do you want me to— to drive you back?"
Before Sana could answer, one of the students from the group butts in. "Wait, Tzuyu! You're still not confirming about the party later."
"I already told you that I'll just think about it."
"We already told the other students that you were coming." One of the girls whines. "You know that these parties only get a full house if they know that Chou Tzuyu is attending."
"That's not my problem!" Tzuyu looks at the girl unamused. "Plus, why do you even ask? You always end up in my doorway, dragging me to those parties anyway. Like you care if I confirm or not."
One of them spoke again, wiggling his eyebrows. "Don't worry, Tzuyu. We promise to find you an eligible bachelor or bachelorette this time."
The young cheer captain scoffs. "And I already told you I'm not looking for someone."
Sana and Jihyo are still silently watching them. Although, the vice president has now one of her eyebrows arched while Jihyo is now awkwardly smiling.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." A girl from the group pursues the topic. "Whenever we ask you, you always say that you're single. But whenever someone tries to hook up with you, you always say that you're not into one night stands either. Everyone's throwing their bodies and soul and dignity right in front of you but you have never been interested!"
"Don't worry, Tzuyu." Another student sustains the conversation. "We will set you up with a really good one that you can't say no this time!"
And everyone bursts into laughter again.
However, Sana suddenly clears her throat and calls out loudly in almost a yell. "Chou Tzuyu."
"Ye— yes, Sana?" Tzuyu answers in a bit of a startle, absolutely looking nervous.
The older girl flashes an obviously fake smile to her. "I've been here for a while now but you haven't introduced me to them."
"Ah— Ahh. That's right. Umm... Everyone..." The young cheer captain glances at the crowd in the lounge chairs, then back to Sana. "This is Sana. Sana, this is— just everyone. Classmates and friends from different clubs here at our school."
"And she is your...?" One of the guys nonchalantly asks. "Just curious since I can see that she's wearing a different uniform that is definitely not ours."
"Umm... Sana is— Sana is my..."
Everyone else stayed in absolute silence, including Sana. They were all attentively looking in anticipation at the young cheer captain and waiting for an answer.
"Umm... Sana is my childhood friend."
