"And... the tiger cub's gone." Mina smiles and announces to her sulking roommate on the bed as soon as she closes the door to their dorm room.

Sana is lying flat on her back with one of her arms placed above her forehead. "Finally."

The council president faintly chuckles and walks towards the cheer captain. "Hey. What happened during the talk with Tzuyu?"

Sana looks at her unamused. "You really want me to answer that?"

"Well, if it's okay with you. I'm just concerned." Mina tried to humor her, uplifting the atmosphere a bit. "Given the fact that you looked at Chaeng earlier like you could murder her at any second... I'm guessing your bad mood is all about what you and Tzuyu talked about?"

"Ugh. Of course!" Sana scoffed. "Who would be in a good mood after hearing all of those in one go? I feel like we're characters in some kind of twisted book in which a twisted author does everything to the best of his or her ability to twistedly twist everything in our already twisted lives. I feel like I'm being toyed at some point."

Mina promptly laughs at her. "What kind of thinking is that? You could use better adjectives than the word twist, you know."

The cheer captain removes her arm in front of her face and gives her best friend a glare. "And that is actually what your smart brain is concerned about right now?"

"No, no, no." Mina tries her best to stop herself from smiling. She reaches out to her best friend's hand. "Hey, I'm sorry. Okay?"

The two council girls looked at each for a moment in silence until Sana finally gave in with a deep sigh.

Mina flashes a concerned smile at her. "I'm always here for you to listen to whatever your story is."

"And I'm not like that?"

"Huh?" The council president asks in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"

"I'm not someone who is considered to be always there for you to listen with whatever story you have?" Sana moves to sit on the bed, making her eye level with her best friend. "Myoi Mina. Why haven't you told me anything?"

"By anything... you mean...?"

The cheer captain rolls her eyes. "About Chaeyoung being engaged."

"I already told you that it's not my story to tell."

"And what about that mini conference that all of you had at the coffee shop earlier?" Sana crosses her arms over her chest. "That one where no one even dared to ask if I'm curious or interested, if I may add."

"That meeting earlier was so impromptu. I was also just brought into it by Chaeng. You just happened to accidentally—"

"ACCIDENTALLY?" The cheer captain began to raise her voice.

"Sana—"

"I'M YOUR BEST FRIEND, MYOI!"

The council president also lost her temper. "THAT DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING!"

Sana raised an eyebrow at her. They again stared at each other in maybe some kind of silent friendship argument. After a couple of minutes, this time, it was Mina who first gave up and let out a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry."

"For...?" Sana trails with smugness.

"For raising my voice." The council president squints at her. "I'm not apologizing for not telling you what you were insisting I should have."

The cheer captain scoffs. "I would've told you if it's me, you know?"

Mina loudly scoffed back at her. "You're absolutely being unreasonable right now, Minatozaki. I'm not even getting where that kind of logic is coming—"

And three loud knocks were heard on their door. Sana gave her best friend another glare before standing up from the bed and tending to it.

When the door opens, a wide smiling council secretary is revealed at the doorstep. "Hey. Sana I have to—"

"Perfect!" Sana cuts Dahyun in and flashes a fake smile. "I was about to pack some clothes anyway."

The new girl immediately scrunches her eyebrows. "Huh?"

Mina yells from the inside of the room. "And where are you going at this hour?"

Sana turns to her roommate with another smug look. "I'm going to sleep in Dahyun's room."

The council president suddenly is annoyed again. "What?"

Dahyun mumbles in confusion. "In— In my room?"

Mina tried to compose herself, not wanting to somehow look like she is losing in their ongoing fight or whatever term could be coined for the building tension in between them. "Dahyun's roommate might be there with her."

"Who cares?" Sana perfectly maintains her proud stature. "I can sleep in Dahyun's bed."

"In—" Dahyun immediately mumbles again to herself. "In my bed?"

The council president raises one of her eyebrows. "Dahyun won't like being in the same bed as you."

"You don't decide that for her, Myoi!"

"Fine! Do what you want, Minatozaki! I was about to do the same thing anyway if you didn't say you were leaving first."

"Ahh. Really?" Sana laughs humorlessly. "And whose room are you planning to sleep in? You don't have any other friends closer than me."

"I can sleep in Jeongyeon's room, you know."

"Ahh. That's right. How convenient? That way you can also sleep in the same room as Chaeyoung."

The council secretary looks at the two other girls with her in the room and awkwardly laughs. "Umm... Do you girls want me to... go back some other time? I can—"

Mina quickly answered. "NO. Stay right where you are. Sana said she would be staying in your room, right? Wait for her while packing some of her things up."

"Wait, wait, wait." Dahyun dramatically massages her temples. She lets out a huge sigh and pays each of the two other girls an annoyed look. She seemed to have finally taken a clearer grasp of what was happening. "Do you realize that you two look like an old married couple in the middle of a fight right now? Why don't you start throwing porcelain plates and appliances at each other, huh?"

"Dahyun—" Sana was about to call the council secretary out but was quickly cut off.

"I'm leaving you two now."

Mina also tried calling out to her. "Wait, Dahyun—"

"Talk this out like civilized people." The council secretary turns and points a finger to each of them while holding the door's knob. "What would the other students across the hallways and adjacent rooms say when they hear you both, huh? You're the president and vice president of the student council for heaven's sake."

Dahyun then pulls the door but right before it is about to shut, she abruptly opens it again and gives the two girls in the room a threatening look. "I will even lock your room's door from outside if I have to. I don't want to hear any childish fights like this tomorrow!"

When the door to the room was finally shut, the council secretary momentarily leaned on it from the hallways. She holds her chest and closes her eyes, taking one deep breath before mumbling nervously to herself, "Thank goodness I got my way out of it. I'm not sure if I could even get a wink of sleep if Sana would sleep with me in my bed."
