——At the mock hotel's mobile bar ——
"Tsk. That's enough, Sana." Mina held onto the arm of her best friend who was about to down again another shot of alcohol. "You're absolutely drunk right now."
The cheer captain pouts at the council president and looks at her with puppy eyes. "Just— just one last, Minaaaa. Pleaseeee?"
The two council girls arrived at the Valentine's party about two hours ago. Since then, Sana has been drinking non stop with Mina simply watching her. The cheer captain is in her usual party dress while her roommate is definitely not looking to party one bit, wearing just a fitted stretchable long sleeve and regular jeans.
"You've been saying that since five shots ago!" The council president glares and points a finger at her. "Promise me this is the last one or else I'm leaving you here!"
Sana gives her a flirty look. "We both know you won't do that. You won't and can't leave me here."
"Ugh!" Mina scoffs. "How in the world did I have you as my best friend? Your behavior right now really makes me want to rethink my past decisions in life."
The cheer captain pulls her best friend to force her in an embrace. "But Myoi, you love meeee. My best friend just loves me that much."
Mina raises an eyebrow and gives Sana an unamused look. "You're not even making any sense right now."
The cheer captain simply snuggled closer to the other girl and continued to speak. "Oh, come on. Look. You hate parties but you're here with me right now in the middle of a huge and loud occasion because you wanted to make sure that I'm safe."
"And thank goodness I'm here right now. If not for me, who knows what could've happened to you?" The council president mutters. "You could've been drugged, naked, and lying on someone else's bed right now."
"Psshh." Sana slurs her words. She waves one of her hands in dismissal. "You know that can't be true! I am absolutely in full control of myself right now! Do you want proof? I can show you some evidence! You future wannabe lawyer!"
Mina simply shakes her head. "Don't even start and try to argue with me, Minatozaki. You never win with me when you're sober. What makes you think you can outsmart me when you're drunk?"
From the moment the roommates arrived at the party place, countless boys and girls have been trying to offer them drinks and some company. The cheer captain was always all smiles and cheery to them. But, thanks to the absolutely sober council president, all of the students who have tried to approach them have been shooed away and miserably failed.
"But it's not my faullllttt, Minaaaa." Sana untangles her arms resting on Mina's back and leans on the bar's counter. "I'm broken hearted right now!"
"Ugh. Okay. Here we go again." Mina massages her temples.
"My heart is in shatters! I hate my life!" The cheer captain started whining loudly. "Chou Tzuyu! Come here and pick me up. I love you. And I know you love me. But, why can't you figure me out?!"
"Sana." The council president lets out a huge sigh. She looks around to make sure no one is paying attention to her best friend's mini drama session. "Hey, Minatozaki Sana!"
"What?"
"You're a full grown woman with what I hope has a full grown brain. If you don't at least tell me what happened between you and Tzuyu, guess what, I can't help you because I have no idea what the hell is happening."
"But you didn't tell me when it was about you and Chaeyoung!" The cheer captain is now yelling. It is a good thing that the loud music is masking her wailing from the mock hotel's mobile bar. "Do you love that small, squishy... tiger cub?! I'm your best friend! Do you love her now more than me?!"
"Oh my—" The council president looks around, confirming that no one cares much about each other in a party full of drunk people. "Minatozaki Sana, will you please—"
"Tell me, Mina! Tzu already broke my heart. Will you also do that to me?"
"Okay, okay. I won't do that to you." Mina flashes an obviously fake smile. If her best friend was any sober, the cheer captain could have criticized her for that but the drunk Sana right now definitely doesn't recognize it. "Sure. Let's say that I love you more than Chaeyoung. Yeah. I surely do."
Sana then widely grins like a kid. "Thank you, baby."
The council president then awkwardly laughs and nods at her. Then, she lets out a defeated sigh. "Now. Just one last glass, okay? Promise me. So that we can leave this place that is sucking all the life in me as soon as possible."
"I promise, baby!" The cheer captain giggles in victory. "Just one last."
—— At the mock hotel's entrance ——
"I told you I didn't want to come here!" Bambam yells in protest against the loud music all over the place as soon as they enter the mock hotel's dance floor.
Dahyun squints at him unamused. "Well, that's too bad because you're here now."
"Tsk." The club director continues his rants in yelling. "Why do I have to accompany you? You could've just told Sana that you wanted to go with her."
"It's not that simple, Mr. Bhuwakul." The council secretary glances at him while looking around the crowd. "I know something is not right. She never let herself get drunk at parties. She perfectly knows when to stop. Something's going on with Sana."
"I hate to break it to you but if something's wrong with her, won't the owner of the keychain be there for her?"
"That's also the weird part."
"Huh?" Bambam tilts his head a bit in confusion. "Why? Which part?"
The council secretary elaborates while persistently looking around. "Sana has a supposed date with Tzuyu today but was rescheduled. I'm not sure if that is related to this because I know Tzuyu has already made up for it."
"Tzuyu? Who's Tzuyu?"
"The owner of the Yoda keychain!" Dahyun yells at him in an obviously annoyed tone. "Tsk. Keep up! What's with your memory?"
"Ahh." He flashes a teasing smile. "Your unbeatable rival of all time."
"Yes." The council secretary mumbles in a mutter. "The unbeatable rival. And don't stop looking around! I have to find her before some odd student jumps on her. At least if she's with me, I can keep her safe."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Bambam playfully taps her shoulders. "You my friend is the most hands on, caring, understanding, and romantic friend zoned individual I know. Should I give you an award already or something?"
Dahyun simply rolled her eyes and scoffed at him. The two then walked further inside, slicing through the sea of partying students.
"Hey, hey, hey." Bambam rapidly taps the council secretary's arm. "Look!"
"What?"
"Over there!" He squints and points in the direction of the mock hotel's mobile bar. "There! Isn't that Mina?"
"We're looking for Sana! Not—"
The council secretary abruptly stops mid sentence after looking at the direction her friend just told her.
Bambam slowly nods at her in an accomplished wide smile.
"Good job, Bam." Dahyun flashes an excited smirk. "Thank you for finding my target."
