"Oh! There they are." Nayeon points to the shop's entrance as soon as Chaeyoung and Mina enter the place.
Jeongyeon arches an eyebrow. "Why is Pres with her?" She looks at Tzuyu who simply shrugs at her. Then, to her girlfriend who is wearing the same look as her.
The three of them arrived at their chosen meeting place about fifteen minutes ago. They already have coffee and bread ordered for each of them at their table.
Since it is a weekday, there are a lot of students loitering around. There are also some office workers who drop by momentarily, buying coffee to safely get through the rest of the day.
As soon as the two new girls arrived on earshot, the council treasurer asked. "Don't tell me Pres that you're also a part of these three girls' schemes?"
"Huh?" Mina quickly gives her a confused look.
"She's not!" Chaeyoung cuts in as she pulls a chair from the table and lets the council president sit on it. "I—" She then looks apologetically to the Chou sisters. "I'm sorry for bringing her with me. I just want her to also know the specific details so— so I figured that this is a perfect opportunity for that."
Nayeon and Tzuyu simply smile and nod their head in agreement.
Jeongyeon nods repeatedly in acknowledgment. "Good."
"Umm... Bro?" The soccer ace awkwardly smiles at her roommate.
The council treasurer simply looks at her blankly.
Chaeyoung lightly scratches her nape. She glances at Jeongyeon then to the floor. "I— I hope you're no longer mad at me? I mean— not as mad as before?"
The taller girl gives the soccer ace a faint smile. "Maybe."
"That response is much better than how you treated me last time." Chaeyoung smiles back at her roommate, a bit shyly like they were new people just introduced to each other at the moment. "I'm... taking this as an improvement."
Jeongyeon's smiles got wider. She nodded again and eventually shrugged.
The soccer ace taps the council president's shoulder. She is still standing behind the chair next to Mina. "Minari."
"Hmm?"
"Do you want anything? I'll order at the counter for us."
"Umm... Maybe just a sausage roll and a hot cafe latte, grande." The council president was about to open her purse when Chaeyoung tapped her hand.
"It's on me, Minari." The soccer ace widely grins. "Just treat me somewhere sometime next time."
Jeongyeon scoffs. "Talk about casually asking for a date."
"Hey! What are you—"
"What?"
The two roommates playfully glared at each other, magically back quickly to being the bros they usually were.
"Okay, okay." Mina cut their staring battle in a sweet smile. Chaeyoung immediately turned her attention to her. "Next time, we can go out and it's on me then."
The soccer ace then slowly turns her heel towards the shop's counter. As soon as her back is facing their table, she subtly mumbles a 'yes' together with a display of her accomplished smile.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Jeongyeon starts after making sure that the smaller girl is already far away to not overhear her. "You're spoiling that tiger cub way too much, Pres."
Mina flashes her gummy smile. "It's fine. I find it adorable when I just let her have her happiness like that."
Tzuyu innocently asks. "Which means...?"
Nayeon scoffs at her sister. "Tzu, you really didn't get it?"
The cheer captain softly nods her head.
"If Chaeng would be happy when I'm with her..." Mina pauses to glance at the girl who is now talking inaudibly to the barista at the counter. "Then, I would willingly let her have me. After all, that cub's happiness is also my happiness. And I'm not one to complain when all she simply want is Myoi Mina to herself."
Tzuyu mouths an 'oh' while nodding a couple of times.
Jeongyeon quickly covers her ears and shakes her head. "I didn't hear it! Please, tell me that the respectable Myoi Mina wasn't the one who just said that overly cheesy line!"
"Ugh." Nayeon rolled her eyes dramatically. "That was nothing, babe. Want me to try something sweeter than that on you?"
The council treasurer quickly shot her girlfriend a frightened look and shook her head furiously. The three other girls at the table loudly chuckles at her. They then all continued to chitchat on random things while waiting for the soccer player to come back.
After about five more minutes, Chaeyoung finally arrived again at the table. She carefully places Mina's order in front of the council president. She did the same for her food, consecutively putting the tray on the far, free side of their table, stacking it together with the trays that the other three girls on the table may have used earlier.
"Okay!" Nayeon starts right the moment she notices that the soccer player has comfortably settled on the table. She heaves in a deep breath. "Okay. I'm not sure how much Chaeyoung has already told you, Minari but... my Jeongyenie here still doesn't know one bit of information so—"
The soccer manager was cut off when Jeongyeon suddenly blurted out. "I think I got everything about this figured out!"
Nayeon rapidly blinks her eyes in confusion while Tzuyu and the soccer ace have their eyes widened.
"Re— Really, babe?" The soccer manager looks at her girlfriend unbelievably. "Ho— How?"
Chaeyoung squints at her roommate. "Let us hear what you have to say first. Then, we will confirm if you're right."
Tzuyu simply made eye contact with her Jeongyeon Unnie and softly nodded.
"Okay." The council treasurer pauses to give everyone a smug look. "I think... Son Chaeyoung and Chou Nayeon are in for a fixed marriage. Chaeyoung and Nayeon are engaged."
