"Minari. Hey, is there something wrong?" Chaeyoung reaches out to gently hold Mina's hand. "You're barely responding to my questions and you've been awfully quiet since we got out of the coffee shop. Is something bothering you? Maybe something that has to do with what we just talked about at the shop?"
The council president was about to say something but she just ended up pursing her lips and fiddling with her fingers. She then stayed dead quiet again afterwards.
The smaller girl lets out a sigh. She looks at the sulking girl in front of her with concern. "Come on, Minari. Tell me what you're thinking. Please don't shut me out of whatever is going on inside that complicated head of yours right now. Whatever it is, let's talk about it, okay? Tell me."
The two girls are now in front of the junior dormitories. They have successfully executed their part in their agreed plan of exiting the place and dropping all the responsibility to poor Tzuyu, explaining the whole fixed marriage thing and all to Sana.
Mina looked at the soccer ace. She hesitated for a moment, then looked at the ground before finally starting to speak. "I know I shouldn't be feeling like this but— but knowing now that Tzuyu is your fiancée... I— I mean— Tzuyu is absolutely one very pretty girl and I've seen how talented she was during the Collegiate League."
"Minari, is this what—"
"I also heard that she is a smart kid. Anyone could tell that she is a walking full package of desirable things." Mina continued talking like she is in a monologue scene right now. "She is tall. She is rich. She has very cute dimples when she smiles. Her body is also perfect. The way she softly speaks is just so cute. Even her posture is impeccable. Plus—"
"Hey, Minari." Chaeyoung squints her eyes at the girl in front of her who is continuing a barrage of statements. "Wait a sec—"
"Plus, I saw how she puts effort in making Sana fall for her like crazy so— so if— only if— you two end up getting married..." Mina is still continuing her mini speech. She sounds like she didn't want to be stopped any moment from now. "It won't be that hard to fall for someone like her. You know, Tzuyu is someone who—"
"Minari, could you please let me talk—"
"Ugh. I know I shouldn't be jealous or be insecure or something that could be described in between those lines but I can't help but compare myself with Tzuyu and what I have to offer in contrary with what she has and—"
"UGH! THAT'S IT, MYOI MINA!" The soccer ace suddenly muttered in almost a yell. She roughly ruffles her hair, then consecutively tugs Mina towards the building's entrance. "I'm done trying to explain and converse things to you."
"Wait— Chaeng." The council president is now being freely dragged upstairs. "Where are you—"
"I bet Sana is going to have a long talk with Tzuyu. And knowing Tzuyu, she will definitely have a hard time explaining things."
"Huh? What does that has to do with—"
"You're a straight A student. You're even running for Latin honors. You're an outstanding law enthusiast. But, you don't know what you're saying right now." The soccer ace continued pulling her across the dorm hallways and the stairs. "I hate it when you're too smart to figure out a lot of things outside of you that sometimes don't even concern you but too oblivious about things that are about your actual self."
"Wait, Chaeng." Mina tried to remove her hands from Chaeyoung but the athlete's grip was way too stronger than hers. "What are you saying?"
The soccer ace then stopped her legs. They are now in the middle of the connecting stairs of the building's second and third floor.
"Minari."
"What?"
Chaeyoung pursed her lips and just dramatically rolled her eyes at her. She let out a frustrated sigh, then went back again to walking upstairs, carefully dragging Mina with her.
"Hey, Chaeng. Answer me first!"
The soccer ace didn't speak or answer again no matter how much complaining or protest the council president was making.
"Wait— Hey, Son Chaeyoung."
The smaller girl didn't stop walking until they reached the third floor of the building. "Give me your keys to your dorm room."
"Hu— Huh?" Mina surely looks annoyed right now due to being deliberately ignored for a while. They are now right in front of her and Sana's designated room. "What do you want with my keys?"
"I'm going to knock some sense into you."
"Chaeng, I don't think I'm following—"
Chaeyoung puts her hand in front of Mina, giving her a demanding look of what she was asking. She doesn't seem bothered one bit by the council president's currently visibly annoyed behavior. "Dorm keys, Myoi Mina. Now."
"Wait, Chaeng. Answer me first. What—"
"KEYS, MYOI." Chaeyoung looks straight into Mina's eyes. "Now."
"O— okay, okay. Wait a bit. What's with the hurry?" The council president fishes the keys from her bag and slowly hands it out. "But seriously, Chaeng. What are you going to do in—"
The soccer girl quickly grabs the keys from Mina's hands, going immediately straight to trying to open the dorm room.
Mina simply stood to her side, just silently watching her in both confusion and wonder.
While twisting the small metal in the keyhole, Chaeyoung mumbles under her breath, soft enough in almost a whisper for the other girl not to hear. "That's because you're going to kill me if I try to kiss you senseless in the school hallways."
