TW: Blood, Daggers, life risk

I looked up into Theodore's eyes. His eyes were blank, and his face lacked any emotion. "Theodore?"

He pulled my dagger out and dropped it into my hand "Don't say anything" His voice was quiet and it sounded like he was in pain "and whatever you do, don't kill Malachi and don't let him kill you"

I tilted my head in confusion. He sighed and looked away for a second "You're a siphon too, if you kill him, you get his magic. If he kills you, he gets your magic. Just trust me" He looked back towards Malachi "and whatever happens to me, don't be stupid"

In a second his eyes turned back to being emotionless, I took that second to get away. He looked after me before disappearing. I surveyed the forest clearing for Thomas but I couldn't see him or Mattheo anywhere. I couldn't see anyone.

I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to come face to face with Miles "It's just me, there gone, Thomas is back in the dorm, he got hurt"

"Is he ok?"

"He's fine. But Malachi has Mattheo now"

"Yeah, I figured"

I appareated back to the boys dorm to find Thomas sitting on his bed. He had cuts on his neck and arms. They weren't really deep but there was still a lot of blood. I looked away, grabbed a towel from the bathroom and gave it to him, not looking at the blood. "Did Mattheo do this to you?" I asked

"Yes"

I nodded then turned to leave "Wait" Thomas called "Don't try to get him back, I tried"

I glanced over my shoulder "Well you didn't try hard enuff" I replied, my tone colder than expected.

"Circe, don't"

"You can't stop me" I replied apparateing to the astronomy tower.

Mattheo was standing there. Alone. He turned his head slightly to glance at me "You shouldn't be here"

"Why not?" I challenged

"Because he will force me to do things to you that I don't want to do"

I heard someone behind me "Oh look, the stupid girl is here" Malachi commented

I tilted my head to the side "What was your father like?" I asked "I don't think you have ever talked about him"

"Yeah, because he's not important"

Theodore appeared in front of me and pushed me into the wall. I pushed him off of me and sent him flying in a wall. I frowned "Don't touch me"

Malachi turned to face me "Whatever you hope to accomplish here, it won't work"

"Are you sure about that?" I asked

"Everything you do, will end in your death"

"Well that's kinda what I was planning"

They all turned to look at me "What do you mean?" Malachi asked

"Well as long as it's not you, I wouldn't give you the satisfaction of killing me"

(Mattheo's pov)

It was the worst feeling in the world. It was like you were under the Imperius curse but it wasn't. You just followed everything he told you to do but you could say whatever you wanted. You could still see everything you did.

I glared suspiciously at Circe, what did she have planned?

"So what are you going to do?" Malachi asked

"I want to know, do you really care about killing me for my power or do you just want to see Thomas hurt?"

He shrugged "You may never know"

"Or maybe I will" She smirked and disappeared, repairing on the edge of the tower.

"You wouldn't take the chance"

"Trust me, I have done it before" She stepped back and started falling. I felt Malachi holding me back with the spell but my thoughts said otherwise. I appareated to the ground and caught her.

She smiled "My knight in shining armor" She reached up and touched my face, whispering something. I suddenly felt Malachi's spell leave me.

"How did you do that?" I asked

She smiled wider "I have no clue" She reached into her pocket and pulled out a leather string beaded bracelet and put in around my wrist, securing it place with magic "here, it helps against mind control"

"Thank you, I feel better already," I smiled. "Now what are we going to do about Theodore, Enzo, and Malachi?"

"I can handle Theodore and Enzo, if you can deal with Malachi"

I nodded my head and brought her back up the tower.
