TW: Mentions of drinking, mentions of cuts
I was alone in the darkness again. I still had many questions, but one filled my mind about Indu. I still didn't know enough about her, and as much as I wanted to believe that she was being honest with me, I couldn't help but think there was something off about her.
(Theodore's pov)
Circe had been passed out for hours now and the sun was starting to rise when Indu appeared in the clearing. "What happened" She asked as she looked around
"Where have you been?" Mattheo questioned standing up and pulling me up beside him.
"I-" She stopped and looked over at Circe who's eyes were now flickering open "Circe what happened?"
Circe looked up at Indu and scooched back away from her and towards us and Mattheo helped her to her feet, she didn't let go of his hand "What's wrong?" Mattheo asked
Circe shook her head and Indu started to look confused "Nothing- I- I'm just a little out of it" I could tell it was a lie but I didn't question her
"I can help if you want" Indu took a couple steps towards us and I suddenly could tell why Circe wanted to be away from her, I could sense dark magic creeping in the area around her. My vision shifted again and I saw Indu, pale skin, black hair, her glowing white-blue eyes looked more creepy than usual and there was a faint, black aura surrounding her. I looked away and everything went back to normal.
"No, I'm fine. Where is the pendant?"
"I hid it, like you asked"
"Well I need it back"
"I'm sorry, not even I can get it back. Just let it be"
(Mattheo's pov)
"Just leave" Thomas spoke up "It would be safer for everyone"
Indu frowned and looked down. "Ok" She turned and left.
The second she was gone I heard Circe's voice in my head. I need to sit down. I apparated us to my dorm and she immediately collapsed onto her bed. She closed her eyes for a minute before opening them again and glancing over at Theodore "I'm sorry"
He looked up and over at us "I've had worse"
"I can fix it" She paused "If you want"
He walked over to the bed and stood next to me "No, you need to rest for a bit before helping anyone" I commented
"I'm fine" She insisted "And besides" She looked down "I don't want to risk the nightmares again"
"Take this" Thomas suggested from the middle of the room where he had just appeared. He held out a potion.
"What is it?" She asked
"Dreamless sleep potion"
"No" She shook her head "I don't want to sleep, especially not when my mind is this weak"
"That's exactly why you need to sleep" I emphasized
"No" She shot back
"If she doesn't want to sleep then she doesn't have to sleep" Theodore cut back in.
We both looked at him. "Just give me some space- some time. Mattheo go tell Indu I'm not going to the dance tonight"
(Theodore's pov)
Her brothers glared at her a bit longer before Thomas disappeared and Mattheo left. I glanced down at Circe and after a second I sat down next to her "It's not about the nightmares, is it?" I asked
