TW: Mentions of killing, blood, torture, death, daggers
(Still Mattheo's pov)
"Circe, you don't have to do this" I tried to reason with her
"Oh shut up" She glared at me in distaste
"Don't kill him, your better then that" Indu tried
"Oh honey, I've killed tons of people, but you're right, I am better than that" She stepped back from Liam for a second, lowering her wand before she raised it again and sent a blue spell at Liam. He closed his eyes then opened them again, his face changing to match Circe's. Circe had put him under an imperius curse. I could tell the others had come to the same realization. Liam stayed against the wall as Circe slowly walked over to Indu "There's so much you have missed" She started, looking at Indu "And for your information" She looked at all of us now "Yes, it was me that killed all those people back there" She glanced at Theodore now and stepped closer to him "It was me who made them all bleed, who took all their magic"
(Theodore's pov)
I knew what she was trying to do. And I was trying to resist, but the more and more she talked, the more the images of the bodies came back and clouded my thoughts. I could sense dark magic everywhere and it only increased as she came closer. "I could help you with your magic problem" She offered and I was confused "I could make it all go away"
"No, you will only make it worse"
"Fine" She smiled "Don't say I didn't offer you help" as she turned away I saw Liam against the wall, he had cuts all over him and was bleeding. I tried to look away, but it was no use. Circe sent multiple spells my way and I blocked them. It only made it worse after I realized I didn't have my usual magic and was using dark magic. My head started hurting and I started seeing red dots in my vision. I tried fighting everything telling me to give in but it only got harder and harder as the seconds ticked by. Mattheo turned to help but Circe stopped him "Don't move" She warned him.
It finally became too much to bear and I stopped trying. It felt like the best thing ever. All my pain was suddenly gone and I felt powerful for once. It felt good.
(Mattheo's pov)
Circe grabbed Indu and pushed her out the door before turning back to us "You're free now, have fun" She slammed the door shut and I could hear the lock clicking into place. I turned to Theodore whose eyes were now black. He smirked at me and I frowned. I could also hear Liam behind me. I glanced at Thomas who still looked like he was passed out. With a quick wave of my wand I set Liam into the wall and he fell to the floor. His body went limp. I turned back to Theodore and he grabbed me and pinned me to the wall "Mattheo, how do you feel, being weak for once. Personally I quite enjoy it, I was always the weak one"
"You were never the weak one" I choked out
"Oh yes I was, you told me so yourself"
"I was drunk" I shouted to the best of my abilities
"Drunk words are sober thoughts"
"Not always" I countered
"So then you have always been the weak one, is that what you're saying?"
"No! Your not listening to me"
"All I ever do is listen to you" He shouted back "Listen to you order me around, listen to you and Thomas fight, it's all I ever do. And I'm done listening to you talk" He pointed his wand to my neck and whispered something under his breath and stepped away from me.
A sudden pain shot through my body and I slid down the wall to the ground. It felt like there was a hole, a pain in my chest, like someone had torn my heart from my body. I couldn't move, every bone in my body felt like it had been broken.
