I'm actually not sure what happened. I know I passed out but it was like time stood still. When I woke up it was like I was only out for a few seconds, but it felt like hours to me. The man held some kind of weird shaped object in his hands and he had stepped away from me.

Captain was saying something, but I couldn't hear what he was saying. My head was still foggy and I couldn't move at the moment. What did that man do to me? What were the two of them talking about before I passed out exactly?

As my senses started to come back I felt a weird tingling sensation all throughout my body. Seriously, what the hell is going on? I slowly managed to turn myself to my side as I was able to move a little bit. My hearing also started to return to me.

"You shouldn't try to move yet, Kid. I'm actually surprised you are conscious let alone alive," The evil bastard said as he noticed my movements. "Don't worry, you and I aren't done yet. I told you I would kill everyone close to you. Glad you'll get to watch," he added.

"Don't - Don't you dare. You - You can't," I managed to get out. My whole body was tingling, but it was also hot and burning. Still, I can't just lie here. I can't just lay here and watch as all my friends get cut down and slaughtered. No, I refuse.

I managed to crawl, slowly, towards the sword and push myself up onto my knees. It was painful in every way, but eventually I managed to barely get to my feet. I still draw breath so I will fight and protect my friends.

"Tyrian, please stop. You've done quite enough, let us handle the rest. Your body won't handle any more strain, you must rest for now," Master said. I shook my head and lifted the sword.

"So eager to die I see. I wanted you to suffer by watching your friends fall one by one, but I suppose I -" I cut him off as I was almost instantly in front of him. It wasn't like a teleportation, more like an acceleration. To everyone else it might have seemed like I teleported, but it's hard to explain. Still he managed to block my sword easily with his own.

"If you were more experienced and also not weak you might have landed a hit," he said as I stepped back away from him. Damn, I still feel numb and I don't know how I did that. I tried to shake the feeling off as I faced him sword at the ready. I still don't know what exactly just happened or why I feel so strange, but I do know he isn't getting that sword, nor is he going to hurt any more of my friends.

Captain came over to me and sighed. He said "this should help" and recited a spell. A few moments later the weird feeling subsided and I sighed thanking him. He nodded in response to my thanks, but looked completely puzzled and worried.

The Dark Guild's leader and I started up our fight again. I'm done trying to get straight answers from this man. Everything he says just leaves me with more questions than answers. Should I let him unblock my memories? No, I can't afford to pass out again, and that might just keep me knocked out for a while. I should let those memories come back on their own slowly and not try to force it.

Captain's P.O.V.

Once their battle started again I felt kind of helpless not being able to help him more or have time to explain to him what is going on. I never imagined such a thing existed. All this time he really was a wizard?

Who would do such a thing to a child and why? If he's a Wizard his parents must have been too, so who exactly were they and what powers could the boy have?

Lately those small instances during his training, could it have been his powers leaking out? If so was that magic device starting to weaken? After all it's been holding back his powers for over 10 years, even that level of sophistication couldn't possibly hold in all of the accumulated power for much longer.

I'm actually surprised removing it so forcefully didn't cause a massive magic burst of energy. Even more surprising is that Tyrian was alive and even up and moving, barely.

"Uncle, what was that spell you used on him just now? What's going on?" My niece, Liliana, asked me as she made her way over.

"A magic blocking spell. Nothing on the level of what that magic item did, it'll only last above an hour. Hopefully it'll let his body absorb the magic slower as my spell slowly wears off. Truth be told this is an entirely new and odd situation here," I rambled and dodged easily as one of the evil cronies tried to attack me.

As he landed on his face I recited a spell and set him ablaze. I couldn't really tell her much more about the situation, I didn't want her to worry about him. This really is a predicament here, Tyrian is a Wizard and has been all this time.

We never knew or even suspected this, not even Tyrian. Who would have thought something like that existed, something that could completely hide any trace of magic within someone. It's hard to fathom.

If this man takes that thing and figures out the mechanics of it and makes more, there could be chaos. Not to mention mistrust between Wizards and Normals. It'd not only be Chaos but possibly war as well and that would clue in the whole world that Magic is real. Needless to say, we need to stop him and his people right here. We definitely can't have him take that item or the sword.

How are we going to take him down though. Magic is useless and he's highly skilled at fighting. Tyrian actually might be the only one who can do it. Will he last through the fight though? He's already weak from everything that has happened.

All we can really do to help now is to keep the evil bastard's men away from their fight, so they can't interfere. I just have to trust Tyrian knows what he's doing and can handle this. There's no doubt that the boy has some latent nack for fighting. His knowledge, strength, and agility are pretty impressive to say the least.
